Home Instead, Inc.​ recognizes regional CAREGivers of the Year and one special CAREGiver who shows exceptional dedication is the recipient of the national award — The Mary Steibel CAREGiverSM of the Year Award.

This program inspires CAREGivers to strive for excellence. It creates a sense of pride and rewards their hard work, compassionate care and service to others.

 

 

Stephanie B. - March 2015 CAREGiver of the Month

Stephanie B. - March 2015 CAREGiver of the Month

​We're pleased to announce that Stephanie Buckner is our March 2015 CAREGiver of the Month.  When asked why she likes being a CAREGiver Stephanie says, "I have compassion for the elderly. I just like being with them and knowing that my help allows them to stay at home."Stephanie has worked with numerous clients in the Springfield area and will frequently fill-in or take last minute shifts. Stephanie has a 9 year old son named Tyren. In addition to going to school, Stephanie enjoys traveling and spending time in the outdoors, both of which she does with Tyren.

Lydia S. - February 2015 CAREGiver of the Month

​Lydia started with us at Home Instead in May of 2014. When asked why she likes being a CAREGiver Lydia says, "I'm a humanitarian at heart. I love to make senior's lives as pleasant as I can." Lydia works with one of our many Alzheimer's clients. Lydia has 2 brothers, 1 daughter, and 1 granddaughter. In her free time Lydia enjoys gardening, music, reading, and spending time with her family. Lydia, thanks so much for your hard work and compassion. We're glad you're part of the Home Instead team.

Tammi O. - January 2015 CAREGiver of the Month

​Tammi started at Home Instead in August 2014. When asked why she likes being a CAREGiver Tammi says, " I'm a 3rd generation CAREGiver. It's important for me to help older people stay in their homes - they've worked so hard to get where they are." Tammi has 2 children, 3 adopted children, and 8 grandchildren. In her free time Tammi is involved in pet rescue (she has 6 dogs) and enjoys fishing and reading. Tammi, thanks so much for your hard work and dedication to your clients. Dian S. - December 2014 CAREGiver of the Month

​Dian started with us July 2014. When asked why she likes being a CAREGiver Dian says, "It was instilled in me by my mother and grandmother who were both nurses. I enjoy taking care of people and hearing stories of their life." Dian has been married to her husband Steven since 2010, She has 7 children, 2 step-children, and 8 grandchildren. In her free time (she is also a full-time student) Dian enjoys to travel, crafts, NASCAR, and keeping fish aquariums. Dian, thanks so much for your hard work and dedication to your clients. We're glad you're part of the Home Instead team.

Becky H. - November 2014 CAREGiver of the Month

​Becky started with Home Instead in April 2012. When asked why she likes being a CAREGiver she says, "The seniors I work with are very interesting and teach me a lot. I also love people and enjoy taking care of them." Becky and her husband have been married for 30 years. They have 2 adult daughters and 3 grandchildren. In her free time she enjoys fishing, bowling and watching movies. Becky, thanks so much for your hard work and dedication to you clients. We're glad you're part of the Home Instead team.

Amber S. - October 2014 CAREGiver of the Month
Amber started with us May 2014, When asked why she likes being a CAREGiver Amber says, "I like making a difference in my clients' lives and enjoy listening to their life experiences. It's nice knowing that I'm helping to keep their independence as they age."Amber and her husband, Chase, have been married for 7 years. They have a 4 year old son named Skylar. Amber's mom, stepdad and grandma live with her family and she helps to care for them. In her free time, Amber enjoys spending time with her son, working in the yard, pilates and playing tennis.

Sue P. - September 2014 CAREGiver of the Month

Sue P. - September 2014 CAREGiver of the Month

​Sue started at Home Instead April 2014. When asked why she enjoys being a CAREGiver with HISC she stated that she took care of her mother and saw the need for the elderly care. She also said "The elderly are so appreciative and I enjoy taking care of them." Sue is married and has two daughters and four grandchildren. When she is not caring for one of her clients, she enjoys quilting. She is also well-traveled. She has been to 11 countries in Europe, she and her husband used to travel in their motor home and have been to all but three states in the US. Sue, we are glad you are part of the Home Instead Team.

Bettina W. - August 2014 CAREGiver of the Month

​Bettina started with Home Instead in February 2013. When asked why she enjoys being a CAREGiver she said "God gave me a talent to help the elderly and I like to help them." She likes working for HISC because she loves her clients and her flexible schedules. Bettina is married with three children. She is a HAMM radio operator and enjoys knitting, crocheting, and reading. Bettina, thank you for all that you do.

​Maria started with Home Instead in December of 2013. When asked why she likes being a CAREGiver Maria says, “I have compassion toward seniors and providing care fills a place in my heart. I actually feel like I get as much or more out of caring for my clients than they get. I believe you learn life lessons from the people you meet and my clients have taught me so much. ” Maria works with various clients in the Springfield area. In her free time she enjoys spending time in nature, gardening, reading and yoga. Maria, thanks so much for living, “To us, it’s personal, each and every day.”

​Teresa started with Home Instead in October of 2013. When asked why she likes being a CAREGiver Teresa says, “I feel like I truly make a difference in my clients’ lives. I like knowing that the relationships that are formed are as important to them as they are to me.” Teresa works with clients in the Springfield area. In her free time she enjoys reading, walking and spending time with her grandkids. Teresa, thanks for your hard work and dedication to your clients. ​Liz started with Home Instead in July of 2011. When asked why she likes being a CAREGiver Liz says, “I’ve been a CAREGiver for 21 years. I started out providing care for both of my grandmas. It was through those experiences that I developed a true fondness for the elderly. I love the clients I work with and believe they deserve excellent care.” Liz has worked with a variety of clients in the Branson area. Liz enjoys boating, writing poetry, playing the guitar and singing. Liz, thanks so much for living, “To us, it’s personal, each and every day.”

Sarah M. - April 2014 CAREGiver of the Month
Sarah started with Home Instead in May of 2013. When asked why she likes being a CAREGiver Sarah says "I really like to help people. It's extremely rewarding to be able to support seniors at a time in their life when they need it." Sarah has cared for clients as far north as Bolivar and as far south as Kimberling City, plus everywhere in between. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors, including horseback riding and boating on the lake. Sarah is truly a blessing to the clients she serves.

​Arleen started with Home Instead in October of 2013. When asked why she likes being a CAREGiver Arleen says, “I love to take care of seniors because I can make them laugh. I try to relate to them and make the time we spend together enjoyable”. In her free time she enjoys sewing quilt tops and doing crochet.
