Home Instead takes every precaution to ensure the safety of its Care Pros and clients. Not only does Home Instead provide all Care Pros with masks and gloves (and gowns and eye googles, when needed), staff regularly follows up with clients and/or their families to make sure that clients and guests in their home are adhering to infection prevention protocol per CDC guidelines.

Care Pro Edward - September 20, 2022:

“I love my job with homestead and enjoy my client. It's nice to be able to have the same client every day this way we get to know each other very well which helps tremendously with his needs. I go home everyday with a great feeling that I touch someone and made them happy and gave them hope.”

Work Schedule Flexibility

HISC staff meet with Care Pros to understand which days and hours they are available and then make your schedule based on this information.  Also, staff only assign clients who live within 15 miles of where Care Pros live.

Care Pro Elizabeth - September 20, 2022:
“I think one of the most rewarding thing about working with our older adults is the fact that you build a trusting relationship with them. Many of them live by themselves and by you showing up every day to care for them, listen to them, be their go-to person at that point in time is truly wonderful. I am much more than just a caregiver to them.”

Ongoing Training

Home Instead provides extensive training for Care Pros when they are hired. We also require that all Care Pros participate in paid training 3x yearly on aging-related issues with the goal of ensuring Care Pros proactively alert family members and HISC staff about any changes in a client's condition. Recent training topics include Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, Health and Nutrition, and Recognizing Signs of Elder Abuse.

Care Pro Alusine - September 20, 2022:
“I like work with Home Instead because I love helping/ assisting people who can not help themselves and Home Instead is helping me doing just that.”

Care Pro Tyron. - September 20, 2022:
