Jennifer was extraordinarily helpful. Her experience, knowledge and professionalism helped us to navigate a very difficult situation. We remain ever grateful to her and her work. This for my family is an ongoing journey and working with her has allowed to see a path and resolution much clearer, we are hopeful and thankful. Thanks again Jennifer!

Home Instead has been so supportive during the opening of our new senior independent living community in Auburn. Faith & Elizabeth are the sweetest ladies you could ask to work with!

Dad needed personal care at home after he had a fall and ended up in the hospital and rehab. When he came home, we paid Home Instead to provide the personal care and light housekeeping Dad needed for most of 2025 until he became stronger, more independent again and no longer felt he needed assistance. Veronica set the bar with a very high standard of care. She took care of the tasks of running a home for a senior citizen while at the same time providing some companionship. She ensured he woke up at a reasonable time and ate regularly. She gently reminded him often of his need to use a walker, take his medication, and exercise. She ensured a high level of cleanliness and sanitization, much more so than without an aide. While we appreciate the other aides (when Veronica became unavailable) who were assigned to Dad, Veronica stands out as THE top performer. Additionally, the Office Manager Alexus kept us well informed and made concerted efforts to ensure the match between Dad and aides were a good fit. We liked the Care Logs on the web portal to read regular visit summaries. Should the need arise, we would contract with Home Instead again for future home healthcare needs.

I can't stress enough how helpful Regina was in helping me transition to my home after the assisted Care facility I was in with a broken back. After a couple months with her help I've gone to not being able to take care of myself to be able to take care of all the daily chores and activities that we all take for granted. Regina and her supervisor Alexis were extremely helpful and I was so happy to be able to take advantage of their services. Thank you once again!!

Home Instead provided amazing support from the start. I really had no idea what I was doing; I just knew that my father needed extra help after my stepmom's accident. Elizabeth and Nick helped to figure out exactly what was needed, and got the care going. Arnulfo was kind and caring with my dad, and they developed a connection right away. As the situation evolved, all three were supportive, and wanted to ensure the right services were provided when they were needed. I would absolutely recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for care for their loved ones.

Sometimes the signs are subtle. Other times, they follow a health event or hospital visit. In either case, recognizing the need for in-home care isn't about taking something away—it's about adding the right kind of support to help your loved one stay independent.

It depends on your loved one’s preferences and needs—but for many Sacramento families, in-home care offers the best combination of flexibility, comfort, and personalized support.
Most older adults want to stay in the home they love—whether that’s a family home in Pocket-Greenhaven or an apartment near American River Parkway. In-home care makes that possible.
Home care vs. assisted living:
Assisted living requires a move and adjustment to a shared setting. In-home care offers:
- One-on-one attention in a familiar environment
- Custom routines with no schedule restrictions
- The ability to keep pets, photos, and comforts of home
- Continuity with a trusted Care Pro
Home care vs. hiring privately:
Private caregivers may seem affordable—but they make you the employer. You’re responsible for taxes, liability, scheduling, and backup if they cancel.
With Home Instead Sacramento, you get:
- Vetted, trained, and insured Care Pros
- 24/7 local support
- Backup coverage and flexible scheduling
- No long-term contracts
Not sure what’s best for your family? Let’s walk through it together.
In-home care gives your loved one the ability to age where they’re most comfortable—at home—with customized support that fits your needs and lifestyle.
