Meet Our Team

Over 20 years ago a sweet caregiver by the name of Bonita helped Michael's father as he battled Congestive Heart Failure. Bonita came every day to help Mr. Boyd get dressed, eat nutritious meals, take his medications, bathe, get to the bathroom and make his appointments. She often sat with him to play cards or just watch TV. On top of that, Bonita was able to keep the Boyd home tidy. Because of Bonita's commitment to care for Michael's father, his mother was able to return to work and run the family business.

After a career in golf and commercial insurance Michael is excited to join Home Instead to positively affect the face of aging in our community. He has a passion for people, loves caring for others, and wants those in need to experience the same care Bonita gave to his father, and ultimately his family.

Michael has lived in the Tulsa area for over 30 years, has been Married to Jamie for more than 18 years, together they have 3 wonderful children.

Upon graduating from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Mathematics, Jamie worked in education as a secondary teacher for 20 years, during that time she attained a master’s degree in education administration. Known for her organization and attention to detail Jamie was recruited to Home Instead by her husband to manage the office and support all systems of the operation. In the beginning her main duties included HR, Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable. She also helped with scheduling, recruiting, hiring, training, and caregiving. She has been vital to the business and its growth. In 2024 she stepped into the role of General Manager to oversee all business operations. When she is not working Jamie enjoys her children, her dog, napping and date nights with her husband (the most handsome man in the world).

Christy works as our Nurse Client Care Coordinator overseeing all of our care. She loves to jump in and get things done. She has a kind bedside manor and a servant heart. Prior to joining Home Instead she worked as a Nurse in Home Health for 11 years. Christy is married with a 6 year old daughter and 15 year old step son. She enjoys going to her daughters dance competitions and horses especially her mommas and babies. During the summer months you will probably find her on a boat on a nearby body of water.

Ally has been in Health Care for over 14 years, serving primarily in office and administrative roles. She has worked in both Home Health and Home Care in various duties including scheduling, recruiting, payroll, and office administration. She joined the Home Instead team late in 2022 and works as part of our Care Team overseeing the client and care professional schedules. Her work in advance scheduling and care professional/client matching is essential to the quality of care our clients receive. When she isn’t working Ally loves to cook and prepare healthy meals, as well as take care of her dog.

Keri comes to us after nearly 15 years in the construction management industry.  Her servant heart led her to us in 2022 when she applied to be a part-time Caregiver after her youngest son headed off for college in Missouri.  Having her foot in the door eventually led to a full-time role within the  Home Instead^® Owasso office.  While she still has the opportunity to work in the field with clients on occasion, she spends her days in our office as our Recruitment Coordinator. Keri is responsible for attracting candidates, evaluating resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews and performing thorough background screens on all Caregivers before they are placed with a client. Outside of work, Keri enjoys kayaking, whitewater rafting, going to the gym, spending time with her family and spoiling her dog, Chief.

JD acts our Training and Engagement Coordinator offering support and training to our awesome Care Pros. Prior to working in our Vinita Office JD worked as a care professional for our Owasso Office. He specialized with difficult male clients, and often quickly won over the client and their families. JD has a strong work ethic and infectious personality. Prior to Home Instead he gained decades of experience as a Hospice volunteer,  chaplain  and caregiver, as well as group Home Manager for Adults with Disabilities, Master Teacher for ETL Institute, training other teachers, writing IP’s for clients and Special Ed Teachers, and developing behavior plans for adults and children with Autism.

 JD was primary caregiver for his mom for 5 years while she was in end stage of Dementia and Alzheimer's as well as his wife during her last days. During the Holidays JD works as an official Santa Clause and enjoys volunteering at Senior Centers, and Nursing Homes in December. In his volunteer time, he mentors and counsels Men in Grief Recovery and homeless men in recovery from abuse, neglect and exploitation, also a sponsor for men in Alanon Alcohol recovery. Typically on Holidays, you can find him cooking and serving as a volunteer at two different homeless shelters in Tulsa area.

Grant is our Home Care Consultant, working on Business Development and community involvement. Prior to coming to Home Instead Grant worked in both Home Health and Hospice, as well as marketing for the High School Sports Publication Vype. He graduated from Eufaula High School where he played on the basketball team. He currently lives in Afton with his wife Bobbie and two kids Sutton 9 and Emerson 6.  Prior to healthcare and sales Grant was a HS basketball coach for 6 years, and currently serves as the Head Coach for the Fairland Owls Basketball team. In his spare time he loves to fish, play golf, and go to the gym with his son.

I'm Karen Jones, and I'm passionate about helping people become the best versions of themselves! I am a mother of 4 beautiful children, ranging in age from 24 to 6 months old. I have an Executive MBA from Prairie View A&M and a Bachelors degree in business management from Sam Houston State University. In my spare time I enjoy traveling with my family and learning about new areas and cultures! My motto is "I have never met a stranger"!
