Lead Care Professional - Leadership & Training | Terre Haute

Terre Haute, IN and Surrounding Areas

Do you want a leadership role where you can provide training and guidance to others? What about a job that allows you to help families find care solutions for their loved ones? Home Instead is hiring a Lead Caregiver to provide new hire training, increase employee engagement, and help provide quality care to our senior clients!

Lead Caregivers provide a variety of non-medical services to senior clients and are instrumental in the training and development of incoming Caregivers. Properly trained Caregivers feel confident and provide quality care to our senior clients. Lead Caregivers will teach personal care training to new hires, offer shadowing opportunities to new/current Caregivers, and act as the face for Home Instead by being present at Caregiver Open Houses, community events, and job fairs. They will introduce clients and Caregivers to each other, helping both parties acclimate to a new environment. In addition, Lead Caregivers will work with a variety of clients to ensure satisfaction, regularly conduct Quality Assurance visits to client's homes, and fill in on emergency staffing needs. They will also work with new clients to assist in building a structured care plan and daily routine. The Lead Caregiver is instrumental to the success of our Caregivers and care of our clients.

The Lead Caregiver must be enthusiastic, reliable, and professional. In a training and development role, this person must be comfortable speaking in front of groups of 5-10 people and leading training sessions. When training new Caregivers in the field, the Lead Caregiver must be able to communicate expectations effectively. When building care plans for clients, the Lead Caregiver must be both detail oriented and observant. While the Lead Caregiver will spend 90% of their working hours providing training and services in the field, they may be required to work in the Home Instead Franchise office to assist with administrative duties, such as answering phones, filing paperwork, or contacting new hires for feedback. The Lead Caregiver would ideally want 40 hours of work per week and have open availability. They must have availability for driving within the following Indiana Counties: Sullivan, Clay, Vigo, Putnam, Parke, Vermillion, Fountain, and Warren.
