About Us

Meet Our Home Care Team

Mark Barlow, Owner

Mark Barlow, Owner

​Mark is committed to serving seniors and their families. He considers Home Instead Senior Care® to be a service ministry to our clients, their families and our wonderful CAREGiversSM.

Mark and his wife, Lora, have lived in Augusta for over thirty years, where they raised their three children and have been serving the community in and through their church. Mark has an undergraduate degree from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

Mark is blessed to serve alongside a dedicated team of office staff and CAREGiversSM who, like him, share a common calling to enhance the lives of seniors and their families.

Becky Ricks, RN

Becky, along with Brenda Haislip, is responsible for preparing service plans that are tailored to the individual needs of each client and providing supervisory oversight of CAREGiversSM who assist our clients with personal care.

Becky, along with her husband and family, moved to Grovetown, GA in July of 2012. She was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. Becky has been a nurse for 33 years and enjoys working with seniors and children with special needs. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. Riding her bike and going for long walks brings her much joy.

Brenda Haislip, RN

Brenda is responsible for preparing service plans that are tailored to the individual needs of each client and providing supervisory oversight of CAREGiversSM who assist our clients with personal care.

Brenda grew up in North Augusta and now lives with her husband in Lincoln County. Brenda has extensive experience in the field of in-home care, including nursing supervision and case management. When she is not working Brenda enjoys reading, music, a fire in the fireplace and most of all playing with her grandchildren.

Camille Wolfe, Client Care Coordinator

Camille is responsible for ensuring we provide the highest quality care for those we serve. She strives to maintain client satisfaction by determining each client’s individual needs and remaining in constant communication with them and their families. She also eagerly steps in to help her coworkers in any way she can – in the office and in our client’s homes.

Camille, who was born and raised in Minnesota, moved to Grovetown in the Spring of 2018. She enjoys spending time with her dog and family who live in the area. She is excited to explore and get to better know this area that she calls home.

Camille's experience with Home Instead began as a CAREGiverSM in Mesa, Arizona for 3 years prior to moving to Georgia. With this experience, she has personally seen the tremendous impact that our services have on the seniors we serve as well as their families. Prior to her current position with Home Instead in Augusta, Camille was a CAREGiverSM and Administrator's Assistant. Camille also is a Certified Medical Assistant.

Pam Miller, CAREGiver Recruitment Coordinator

Pam is responsible for screening the applications we receive from those who would like to join the Home Instead family of CAREGivers. In addition to conducting phone interviews she recommends candidates for a face-to-face interview with the Administrator and then checks references to assure that our clients are provided with amazing CAREGivers who have a genuine passion for caring for others.

Pam, who is originally from Pittsburgh, Pa., is a military spouse of 27 years and has lived in many different locations throughout the U.S., Germany and Japan. Pam loves knowing that she has the privilege of helping to keep our clients in their homes by providing them with compassionate, devoted CAREGivers.

Peggy Bohannon Deaton, Retention and Engagement Coordinator

Peggy is responsible for training and engaging our staff of CAREGivers to provide the highest quality service to clients. She draws upon her own experience as a caregiver to encourage and develop each one of our remarkable CAREGivers.

Peggy, who is originally from Zephyrhills, Florida and lived in Alaska for a time, relocated to Augusta with her family over 30 years ago. She has always been passionate about taking care of seniors, including those in her own family, friends and clients. Her goal is to bring a smile to the face of everyone who crosses her path.

Tasha Hollins, Service Coordinator

Tasha Hollins, Service Coordinator

Tasha is responsible for scheduling our CAREGiversSM to provide the highest quality service to clients with the objective of creating extraordinary relationships.

Tasha, who was born in Shelby Co. Tennessee and grew up in Mississippi, decided she would relocate to Augusta to be with her children. She enjoys spending time with her beautiful grandchildren and reading suspense novels.

Prior to her current assignment Tasha worked as a CAREGiverSM and our Administrator's Assistant. Tasha is excited to continue to learn and develop with the company as she works to provide seniors and their families with the best care possible. Her number one goal is to make every experience a positive one for each and every family member.

Shakema Baskerville, Administrative Assistant

Shakema assists the Administrator by performing a wide range of duties including responding to inquiries from clients and CAREGiverSM applicants in a personable and professional manner, overseeing the new employee onboarding process and staying on top of the training and certification requirements of the staff. She also eagerly steps in to help her coworkers in any way she can – in the office and in our client’s homes.

Shakema, who was born and raised in North Carolina, moved to Augusta in July of 2020. Shakema moved to Augusta, Georgia with her husband who is stationed at Fort Gordon. Shakema is a Certified Nursing Assistant and she is a senior at Winston-Salem State University majoring in healthcare management and graduating this fall. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her goal is to one day open her own birthing center. She is excited to explore and get to better know this area that she calls home.
