Mark and Angie Adkisson, Owners

Mark and Angie Adkisson, Owners

Mark & Angie opened the Home Instead Senior Care franchise in St. Charles County in 2013 and feel very blessed to be able to be a part of enhancing the lives of aging adults and their families.

Mark is the ninth of ten children and grew up in South St. Louis City. As a graduate of University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Civil Engineering, he brings over 20 years of experience working with general contractors in several roles including project management and consulting. For many years Mark worked with high school youth at church, setting up service projects for senior citizens in the community. He enjoys serving others and has traveled on several mission trips, repairing the homes of those less fortunate. Besides managing the general day-to-day operations for the company, Mark serves on the St. Charles County Walk to End Alzheimer's Committee as the Logistics Chair, and has also served on the Senior Service Task Force in the St. Louis Metropolitan area.

Angie is a native of St. Charles County. She and Mark met at the University of Missouri-Columbia where she graduated with a degree in Social Work. Besides Social Work, Angie has years of experience teaching dance to children and adults alike. She has been blessed to be a stay-at-home mom for the past 24 years. She home schooled their oldest two children (now adults) until they entered high school and currently home schools their youngest two children while also working part time in the office helping with the hiring and training of new caregivers.

Laura McCoy, Director of Community Outreach

Laura McCoy, Director of Community Outreach

Laura was born in Georgia and her southern roots run deep, but she has spent most of her life in St. Charles County where she raised her two boys while helping her husband build the family business. Laura graduated with a degree in Social Work, and her professional background includes counseling, teaching, and helping those with physical disabilities maintain their independence. Laura is very passionate about seniors and their families and leads educational workshops in our community for those who wish to age in place, as well as for families who have a loved one living with Alzheimer's or other dementias. For the past six years, Laura has served as Director of Community Outreach for Home Instead in St. Charles County. 

Carolyn Korb, Office & Caregiver Administration

Carolyn Korb, Office & Caregiver Administration

Carolyn is a native to the St. Louis area. She and her husband of 30 years raised their two sons in St. Charles County. Carolyn has a diverse work history: office manager for a group of orthopedic surgeons; transporter of special needs children and seniors; activities assistant at an Alzheimer's memory care community; and art teacher at a paint-your-own ceramics studio. She began her Home Instead career as a CAREGiver in April 2014 and was even one of our CAREGivers of the Quarter. In 2015, she joined our office staff and is instrumental in training and encouraging our CAREGivers. When not at work, she enjoys cheering on her youngest son in the Special Olympics, gardening, anything artsy, and visiting wineries with her 90+ year old mother.

Allyson Lane-Weichselbaum, Service Coordinator

Allyson Lane-Weichselbaum, Service Coordinator

Allyson is a Missouri native and graduated from University of Missouri- St. Louis . Allyson was blessed to be a stay at home mom and raise her two daughters. She began caregiving when her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease, and was fortunate to be her mother's primary caregiver. This experience prepared Allyson for her career as a Home Instead caregiver in early 2019. She quickly came on board in our office as a key player and has supported the roles of Client Care Coordinator, On-Call Scheduler and has been our Service Coordinator for the past year. Allyson is active in her church, the St. Louis Down Syndrome Association, and the St. Louis Alzheimer's Association. She enjoys watching WWII documentaries, going to wineries with her friends and of course her daily iced coffee!

Brad Piercy, Client Care Coordinator

Brad has a degree in Practical Nursing and has used that knowledge as a caregiver over the years in multiple care communities in St. Charles County. He has a love of sports, especially hockey and soccer, and stays busy with his son's competitive hockey team. Brad's professional background also includes personal fitness training, as well as coaching hockey. Brad has a huge heart for seniors, and as Home Instead's Client Care Coordinator he is passionate about providing the best care possible for each of our clients and their families.
Kelly Kocs, RN- Caregiver Trainer

Kelly Kocs, RN, Caregiver Trainer

Kelly is a lifelong resident of the St. Louis area. She has been a Registered Nurse for 30 years, with her Bachelor in Nursing and her Masters in Gerontology. Her career spans working in a medical intensive care unit, to stay-at-home mom to two girls, to RN Case Manager and Geriatric Case Manager. Kelly especially enjoys being an advocate for older adults & their families, as well as in providing education to clients & their caregivers. She is a member of the Aging Life Care Association, the St. Charles Senior Resource Team, the Social Workers in Long Term Care, and the Senior Services Task Force of St. Charles County. Kelly trains our caregivers to safely provide care for seniors in a way that preserves their dignity and respect.
