- By Lynn H.Home Instead provided our family with several in home caregivers. All caregivers have different styles and attitudes toward work. One of the caregivers stands out to me as one who was and incredible blessing to our relative with dementia. Her name is Selene. She excelled in redirecting our relative through the personal care issues and drinking issues we faced. She took initiative with challenges. Selene posted photos of the groceries and receipts on the Home Instead family chat. The rest of our family could see the wonderful job she was doing. Later, I realized our relative only had a toaster oven to heat up water for coffee (no stove) but Selene did not let that deter her. Instead, she heated up water in the toaster oven. We heard from the neighbors that “Selene is doing such a great job!!” We agree!

- By Valerie S.We started with Home Instead in Sept 2022. Mary began caring for my Father in January, and she has been beyond amazing in caring for my Father. She gets him moving and involved in activities. She puts up with his teasing in stride and always makes him smile. I really feel like Mary is a friend looking after my Father since I'm not able to be there myself. I like how we feel like a team, and she always encourages me and let me know what a good job I'm doing for my Father. Thanks to her speaking so well of me to my Father, he has also expressed his appreciation for me and Home Instead, especially Mary!
The young lady during the week (Shewaye) was excellent. My mom found it easy to work with her and she was very encouraging and patient. Whatever my mom needed, Shewaye did not hesitate to help.
The young lady on the weekend (Crystal) was also very nice and patient with my mom. Both ladies demeanor was very calming and I knew that my mom was in good hands. I knew that I would need to leave the house to pick up prescriptions, groceries and run errands. I felt very relieved to know that my mom was being taken care of with good people.
Thank you Masami, Shewaye and Crystal for excellent customer service. You guys are definitely in the right business. Keep up the good work.

What a wonderful soul and a very nice person. She understood the stress that I was going to encounter and she immediately went to work on a plan that would provide me with everything that I needed.

- By John D.Definitely 5 out of 5 stars for Home Instead. Before finding them we tried at 2 other home health agencies and were extremely dissatisfied with their service or the lack there of. But Home Instead has been a godsend. Professional service, great home care providers, consistent follow by a courteous and professional staff. If you are in need of a home care provider I definitely recommend Home Instead.

- By Genethia H.Home Instead changed my life and the life of my husband who has dementia! After returning from the hospital I knew I needed help with him. I contacted a number of agencies for in home care. I finally found Home Instead. A representative came to my home, listened carefully, gave me a variety of options. The pricing was straight forward and reasonable. I told them that my husband needed a single person as he gets agitated when there are too many new people in his life. They understood that and they sent us Joyce Jones. This woman is simple a superior human being and such a well trained caregiver for dementia patients. She has become a part of our family and has taught me so many things I should have been doing for my husband. She provides breakfast, lunch and occasionally dinner. She can prepare a meal with things already available - in other words, she can make a healthy meal out of what’s in the house. She gives protein, carbs, veggies and fruit with every meal. Even if it’s only a sandwich it comes with a salad and fruit and a cup of milk for lunch. Joyce is gentle with Alton, knows when to simply be present and quiet on days when he seems far away. She does exercises to strengthen his legs, and his core -he also has neuropathy. It is my hope that we can keep Joyce for as long as he can remain at home. She does activities daily to keep his mind as sharp as possible. They do crossword puzzles, they watch game shows on T.V. so he can participate in answering questions. She allows him to reminisce about things in the past and encourages him - even though she doesn’t know any of the people he talks about. In a nutshell Home Instead is a superior agency, and Joyce Jones is a well trained caregiver. One last thing - you can add hours needed for emergencies with very little advanced notice - a wonderful accommodation. I highly recommend Home Instead to anyone needed in home care for a loved one.

Despite this, our Home Instead team has managed her care with professionalism, empathy, gentle guidance, and advice. My mother's caregiver, Minnette, is always there - always helpful, resourceful, and always communicates. And my mother's client care manager, Chazz Fontenant, is so knowledgeable and informative that I don't think we could have coped without her.

One of their staffers comes by to initiate any new caretakers and walk them thru the process. consistent, timely communication and they really get to know you. we have had nothing but above average service in many ways. Masami our coordinator has been so thorough in follow ups, texts, checking how it's going, etc. the great thing is that if someone cancels, Home Instead will find a backup right away and work with you. Highly recommended!

At a time when my mother experienced a long hospitalization and was coming home needing support, they were very caring, professional and thorough. The team took time to learn about her needs and personality before she came home, and she was paired with lovely caregivers. I was sent home from my Rehabilitation Center to recover from breaking my knee cap in three places. In addition I had several doctors appointments and several radiation treatments that my caregivers went with me for every visit. Homestead Agency provided 3 caregiver staff 7 days a week from 9:00am through 8:00 pm. I am on my way to complete recovery. Thanks so much for attending and caring for my care. Always be blessed.
