We are very new clients of this agency. So far, their services have exceeded our expectations!
I have tried at least 4 other HHA companies for my mother that passed and now for my husband. It has been an arduous task. I realize that the caregivers that are sent are critical in any evaluation I make. Sometimes I would get someone (from past companies) that were strictly ‘sitters’ that would encourage him to watch TV while they talked on the phone. They had very little interaction with him. I remember an aide that would yell at my mother because she wanted to get up to go to the bathroom. And she interrupted the aid’s sleep. I also realize that how the office takes care of billing, staffing and interaction with the patient’s family are essential It has been a nightmare keeping the billing on track with my last company. I have only been using HomeInstead for less than a month... therefore I cannot measure them as high as I would like... yet.... I have already seen a difference in the office staff, billing and most importantly the care my husband is receiving... I know that I have only used one person, from Home Instead, LaToya, so far but she stands heads and shoulders above most of the care I have been exposed to. She patiently deals with my husband ‘s confusion and cognitive limitations... if she is truly an example of a typical caregiver I know I will stay with Home Instead. I also want to comment on the staff. So far they have given a good level of service. They are very responsive and helpful.
The Home Instead staff are not just employers able to find caregivers, they are an amazing resource to find other services you might need or just a compassionate ear with sound advice. They literally improved the quality and length of life for our parents.
Home Instead has excellent Caregivers. They are very compassionate, kind, and take very good care of my mother in law. I actually enjoy having them in my home, and our caregiver has become our friend and like a part of our family. I like that it is family owned and operated, and Dinah and Jillian are wonderful to work with.
We are coming to the end of needing Home Instead’s services, and it worked out really well. The caregivers were very professional, caring, answered all our questions, and communicated very well. My mother in law was so happy. She had never enjoyed a stranger coming into her home. They matched the personalities so well and, she looked forward to every visit. They met and exceeded our expectations. Very professional organization, and they were to help with whatever she needs -- doctor’s appointments, shopping, personal care that she needed. They were willing to assist her. We are very pleased, and we would absolutely recommend them.
The owners are very pleasant and attentive. The companion was pleasant and caring.
Mom lives in Florida and I am in New Jersey. Home Instead has far exceeded our expectations for the care of my mother. The two caregivers chosen to take care of her go above and beyond to keep her in her home, comfortable, safe and really happy! My mother was always strong and independent and now she really looks forward to her " GIRLS" coming every morning. They have made this transition very easy for her. I am hoping that this review makes the decision easier for another family to trust Home Instead and take care of their family member too.
