Rob Mondi

Rob Mondi, President

Rob Mondi is the founder of Mondi & Associates, Inc. a Home Instead® franchise that helps seniors age in place and allows families the peace of mind knowing that their loved one is well cared for. The Home Instead® of DeKalb, IL operates within DeKalb County, Ogle County, Lee County, and parts of Kane County.

Before devoting his work fulltime to Mondi & Associates, Inc., Rob served as Franchisee and CFO to 16 Dunkin Donut franchises and over 500 employees with his partner. Rob also worked as Commercial Real Estate Director for a 7 location Franchise group of Keller Williams with over 1,500 residential real estate agents advising and structuring Commercial Real Estate transactions and Business Brokerage. Rob began his career with Merrill Lynch in their Franchise and Vendor Finance Group setting up Franchise Finance programs to all the Major Franchisors. Eventually he moved from the capital markets and structured finance group to a Financial Advisory role helping all Clients including Seniors with Estate Planning, Retirement Planning, Succession Planning and everything in-between.

Rob has worn many hats in his life before starting his journey with Home Instead® in August of 2019. His passion for caring for the seniors in our community began when he helped take care of his own mom after a fall a few years ago. Rob saw first hand how much of a positive impact having a caregiver in the home can have on the recovery of our aging loved ones, and decided that he wanted to be a part of that.

Alec Mondi 2022

Alec Mondi, Home Care Consultant

Alec comes from a variety of jobs spanning from a professional nanny, a cook, and even logistics. All of these felt empty and unrewarding, so he kept looking for something that felt more like a home to him. After his grandmother took a fall and landed in the hospital for quite a while, he and his dad came to the rescue. Al quickly saw just how much of a difference in-home caregivers can make on the quality of life and independence for seniors. He took the next step in 2020 to get his CNA here in Illinois to make sure he was well equipped for what this industry could throw at him.

Al has worked a few different roles here at Home Instead® in DeKalb, from Office Coordinator to Recruitment & Retention Coordinator, and now Home Care Consultant. Learning the business of home care inside and out to be the most effective and trusted source for those aging in our community.

Sandi McMahon

Sandi McMahon, Service Coordinator

Sandi has been working in the Sycamore area since she was 13 years old. Since then, she has had many different jobs and has acquired experience in a variety of fields. Sandi has decades of involvement with the secretarial pool, but found her passion working in the healthcare field. She has worked in nursing homes, a home for individuals with developmental disabilities, a pharmacy, and even worked in the local hospital where she was crossed trained in everything from answering phones to taking X-rays!

Sandi became a part time Care Professional with Home Instead® in 2017, and has been flourishing as the Service Coordinator since 2021. She enjoys getting to learn as much as possible about our clients and Care Professionals to help make the best matches possible. Sandi loves bringing a positive attitude each and every day, while combining her passions for organization and health care!

Quyler Dahlberg 2024 2

Quyler Dahlberg, Training & Engagement Coordinator

Quyler comes from a family background of health care workers, but never would have guessed he would be doing anything but teaching high school science and special education. Originally from the DeKalb area, he moved to Omaha as a kid and spent summers and holidays with grandparents here in DeKalb until moving to Missouri for college. From Missouri he moved to Minnesota where he took a job in a senior living community, suddenly Quyler found himself working as a Lead Caregiver and Medication Tech with a special interest in Memory Care residents - and loving every minute of his job.

Quyler joined the Home Instead® family as a Care Professional in May 2019, and in the summer of 2021 he started in the office as the Home Care Manager. He enjoys getting to combine his love of helping others and his skills for teaching as he helps train Care Professionals, both when they are hired and then each year after that to brush up on their skills and learn new techniques/information.
