Meet Our Team

Amy Benson began her senior care career in 1990, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a skilled nursing facility. Since that time, she has been a Staff Development assistant training new Nursing Assistants, a Unit Clerk coordinating patient care, a Staffing Coordinator creating schedules, and a Client Care Coordinator for Home Instead. Quickly realizing she had found her calling, Amy purchased her franchise in 2009. She says that while being her own boss is a dream come true, owning her own business that helps so many people is the reason she loves being a Home Instead owner. “Keeping seniors independent and living in their own homes” is her favorite way to describe what we do here at Home Instead.

Amy lives in Burlington and has been happily married to her husband Richard since 1999. They have twin daughters, Joanie and Justine, born in 2001.

Deseree Zamora has worked for Home Instead since 2016. Deseree started her journey with Home Instead as a Caregiver and transitioned into the office as our Client Care Coordinator in 2018. As our Client Care Coordinator, Deseree played a vital role in the lives of our Clients, their families, and our Caregivers by developing a personalized Care Plan for each client. Deseree’s skills and enthusiasm for helping others is apparent and we are so happy that she is a part of our Team. Deseree is now on our Recruitment and Engagement Team! In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, going on hikes with her dog Kayla, and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Dianne began her journey in senior care as a nursing assistant for a skilled nursing facility in 2014. She then joined Home Instead as a caregiver in 2015, her clients absolutely adored her caring charisma, and positive attitude. Dianne recently joined the office staff this year as our Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator where her knowledge plays a vital role in helping our future and present caregivers. Outside of work Dianne loves to spend time with her husband and her 2-year-old son. Her hobbies include going on hikes with her 2 dogs and going horseback riding with family.

Maria Barriga began her career working for Home Instead as a Care Professional in 2019. Maria soon realized that working with seniors was her passion and being able to make a change in people’s lives became more than just a job for her. Her dedication and caring heart led her to want to grow more and share her expertise with others. Maria transitioned into the Home Instead office as a Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator in March 2023. Her goal is to be able to share her experience and inspire other Care Professionals.

Outside of work Maria enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys a nice beach view and nature walks.

A Skagit Valley local, Yesenia was born and raised in Mount Vernon and has been a positive member of the Home Instead Team since 2017.

Yesenia’s journey in Senior Care began in 2012, where she started as a private caregiver. This experience sparked her passion for the care of the elderly. The next step in her journey was in a receptionist role at an Assisted Living Facility. Yesenia’s experience and knowledge gained through the years have given her the tools to help train great Care Professionals! Outside of work, Yesenia enjoys spending quality time with her husband, 4 kids and extensive family. Her hobbies include camping, family BBQs, and Karaoke nights. Yesenia also enjoys dancing in her Zumba classes!

Keshema has worked in the In-Home Care field as an On-Call Scheduling Coordinator for the past four years, and now as Service Coordinator for Home Instead. Her prior profession at the local Art Museum gave her the skills to serve and engage with our clients and caregivers professionally and compassionately. Keshema is responsible for meeting the schedule needs of our clients and matching them with the right caregiver and looks forward to the opportunity to enhance your life or a loved one’s life. Having grown up in the San Juan Islands Keshema enjoys hiking, boating, beach combing and spending time with her loved ones.

Raven Bryan was raised in the Skagit Valley and joined Home Instead in 2022 as our On Call Supervisor. While working remotely from Vancouver, Wa, Raven managed the office after hours, on the weekends and on holidays. Raven moved back to the Skagit Valley in June and has now joined the office team full time as our Service Coordinator, working with Keshema in the scheduling department.

Raven enjoys spending her free time exploring the PNW with her two young sons, and watching them play football!
