Meet Our Team

Jones Althea preferred

Althea J., General Manager

Althea is a native of the Pacific Northwest but spent many years in Mesa Arizona before moving back to her hometown of Portland Oregon in 2014. This is where she stayed until she relocated to Boise in 2022.

Althea comes to Boise with many years of in-home care experience having started as a caregiver and CNA in 1994. Over the years she has worn many hats, held many titles, and worked in all aspects of the in-home care industry. She found her true knack was in compliance, regulation and finance. Her passion is and always will be providing solutions for families while taking care of the Care Professionals who make it all possible. Althea takes pride in her ability to effectively lead her team and truly stands by the mission, vision and values that Home Instead is built on.

Althea boasts a beautiful, blended family with 3 of her own children and 3 bonus children, all of whom are now adults and beginning their careers. As empty nesters, Althea and her husband Andre decided that Boise was the perfect place for the next chapter of their lives. Althea is excited for the opportunity to continue her mission of helping all people, especially seniors.

In 2009 she joined the Air National Guard in munitions systems (Ammo Troop) and deployed overseas for several months in 2016. In 2017 she changed her career field to services. She loves camping, gardening, and traveling!

Evelyn B., Client Care Coordinator

Coming from a large family, Evelyn grew up in Portland after her dad retired from the military at Mountain Home AFB. She fell in love with the stories she heard from elderly relatives and eventually became a CNA, working in skilled nursing facilities while earning a graduate certificate in gerontology. She worked 12 years for the Housing Authority, serving low income residents. For the next two decades she lived in the tiny town of Sisters, OR, operating a Waldorf-based early childhood center.

Evelyn wanted a new direction and moved to Chicago for theology studies. After a few years in church ministry, she became the Training Manager for one of the largest Home Instead franchises in the country. Up for another adventure, she moved to Idaho in March 2022.
