Meet Our Team
Brenda Mellor - Director of Operations

Brenda Mellor, CDP, CNA, HHA, Director of Operations

Brenda has been with Home Instead since 2013, first as Staff Coordinator and more recently as Director of Operations. With years of Home Health Aid experience, having cared for her own parents, and her previous work as a Certified Nursing Assistant at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton, Brenda understands the importance of seniors having a voice in their own care whenever possible, and the need for an advocate when they are unable to speak for themselves. With a genuine love for seniors, Brenda strives to ensure that the care provided by Home Instead is nothing short of wonderful.

Having recently become a Certified Dementia Practitioner, Brenda aims to help educate the public on Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Alison Otis Uzoma - Office Manager

Alison Otis Uzoma, Office Manager

Alison helped launch the office in September 2008. She came from a background in nutrition research and healthcare communications. Alison spent many years as a caregiver to her grandmother who taught her how to sew, swim laps, balance a checkbook, and love New England landscapes, among many other things. These experiences motivate her work helping seniors and their families find trusted care to stay safe and well at home.

Cindy Paille - Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator

Cindy Paille, Recruitment and Engagment Coordinator

Cindy came to Home Instead in 2015 with over 20 years’ experience in the home care field. She received her CNA certification in 1991. Her extensive background helps her look for qualified and caring CAREGivers. She wants to hire people who she would want to care for her own family. Cindy also got her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, where one of her most compelling classes was about elderly patients and what they go through as they age.

Liisa Salmi - Client Care Coordinator

Liisa Salmi, Client Care Coordinator

Liisa joined Home Instead in the spring of 2020, first as a CAREGiver, then as Client Care Coordinator. Liisa's caregiving started as a child, caring for many animals and keeping them safe. As a young adult with a commercial driver's license, she worked for the Cape Ann Transportation Authority in Gloucester, MA. Driving public buses and providing Dial-a-ride services brought seniors and the developmentally disabled into her life. Soon Liisa was working as a respite care provider for the disabled at Northeast Arc in Danvers. She then became a Supervisor of Direct Support for the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services. Now fully engaged in the next step of a meaningful career, Liisa is in constant communication with our clients, their family members, and our CAREGivers, tailoring care plans and making sure our services are delivered with quality, skill, and compassion.
Dawn Leonard - Scheduling Coordinator

Dawn Leonard, Scheduling Coordinator

Dawn has been with Home Instead since 2011, first as a CAREGiver and now as the Scheduling Coordinator. She was honored with the CAREGiver of the Year Award for the franchise in both 2019 and 2020. She has worked with over thirty clients in her years as a CAREGiver. Dawn has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, years of experience in customer service, and strong attention to detail. She understands the importance of seniors being able to continue living in their own homes, doing what they can for themselves. She makes it her mission to help them achieve whatever they need to live their best possible lives.
Wanda Frazier, Administrative Assistant

Wanda Frazier, Administrative Assistant

Wanda, having a passion for helping others, came to Home Instead as a Care Professional in 2021. Her professionalism and kindness quickly made her a favorite of each of the clients she worked with. When circumstances prevented Wanda from working in the field, we jumped on the opportunity to bring her into our office, and offered her the role of Administrative Assistant, which she eagerly accepted. Wanda has enjoyed her position, learning more about the business, and forming great relationships with our Care Professionals.  Wanda’s engaging personality & friendly demeanor have made her a favorite of all who meet her. Having a talent for baking and cooking, another passion, Wanda often surprises our team with freshly baked cakes that are out of this world.
