Our Stories

Brenda Mellor - Director of Operations

From CNA to Director of Operations

Brenda left a career in finance to raise her children and knew very little about home care until her own parents became ill.  The knowledge she gained while caring for her parents led her to pursue her CNA/HHA Certification and to work at a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital.

With her administrative background and her love for seniors, she joined Home Instead as a Staff Coordinator in 2013. Being in the role of Staff Coordinator, Brenda jumped at opportunities to take on more responsibilities and in 2020 was promoted to Director of Operations.

Dawn's Attention to Detail Caught Our Eye...

Although her background was in finance and customer service, Dawn, our Scheduling Coordinator, came to Home Instead in 2011 as a CAREGiver who worked part-time while raising her children. Dawn’s attention to detail had always caught our eye and when a position as Scheduling Coordinator opened in 2021, she was quickly approached. Thankfully she accepted and the rest is history.
