September 2023 Rookie of the Month - Jackie B.
I am an outdoor person and animal lover. I have 2 cats, Tandy and Lola, and 1 dog, Lillie. I love to go hiking, especially when Lillie is with me and I enjoy disc golf. I also work out often. I started with Home Instead on July 24th. Caregiving has always meant a lot to me, but even more so in this role where I see different clients with different needs. I love how happy you can make them just by doing simple things. When I’m at a shift, I ask the client what I can do outside of my tasks that can make them happy. It’s usually simple things. One client has a ranch house. Her nephew took down two longhorn heads because he was going to take them. He ended up not taking them but didn’t place them back on the wall. I hung them back up for her. It was simple but brought her a lot of joy.
