September 2021 Professional CAREGiver of the Month - Vivian G.
Super proud of Vivian for being our CAREGiver of the Month for September! Vivian has had some wonderful experiences with clients over the years. She loves her clients deeply and serves them well. Read on to find out a little bit more about her.
Where were you born? I was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Where did you grow up? I grew up in Alma, Arkansas
How long have you worked at HISC? I have worked at Home Instead for 7 years.
What’s your favorite part of caregiving? My favorite part of caregiving is making someone else's day better. Knowing that I can help them help themselves by completing daily tasks.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. I set attainable personal monthly goals. Getting to mark things off a list is always exciting! I love to spend time going on road trips with my partner, Michael. We love being together whether it’s hiking and watching the sunsets and waterfalls on the weekends or taking vacations sitting on the beach listening to the waves crash and feeding the seagulls. We like to call it our relaxing US time.
Vivian has gone on some grand adventures as a CAREGiver. At one point, every one of us in the office was green with envy and wanted to trade places with her. She had a client that paid for her to go on vacation with them and it just happened to be on a yacht in the Gulf of Mexico. Granted she reminded us she was working but working inside four walls of an office building as opposed to sailing on the ocean, that was a no brainer for all of us, we would’ve taken the yacht any day. No offense Jonathan! 😊
Vivian is a person who always has a positive attitude and greets everyone with a smile. She tries to find the good in every situation and makes lemonade out of the lemon moments in her life. There’s no doubt she’s a ray of sunshine to each person in her care.
