October 2021 Professional CAREGiver of the Month - Carol A.

Super proud of Carol for being our CAREGiver of the Month for October! Carol has a personality that can keep you in stitches!  She has a great sense of humor, is a workaholic and is loved by all she cares for. Read on to learn a little bit more about her.

Where were you born?  I was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Where did you grow up?  I grew up way up in the mountains of Colorado in a little town called Meredith (close to Aspen)

How long have you worked at HISC?  I have worked at Home Instead right at 3 years.

What’s your favorite part of caregiving? My favorite part about caregiving is my clients.  I love getting to hear all their stories and learning about their lives.  My second favorite part is picking on Jonathan.  It just makes my day getting to give him a hard time!

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Carol is the mom of four wonderful children. Two daughters, Jennifer and Tracy, and two sons, Bill and Tom. She mentioned during her training that they are very close, all love the Lord and are always available to help each other. Some of Carol’s hobbies include working in her flower beds, gardening, crocheting, reading and cooking.

Speaking of Carol’s humor, Amy told us that Carol calls her “pickle”, because she says that any time Amy calls her she’s always in a pickle and needing her help with a shift.  Rumor has it, from our Client Care Coordinator, Sara, Carol makes her clients laugh a lot.  That’s such a beautiful gift!  Laughter is described in the Bible as good medicine. Carol also spoils her clients with wonderful meals.  She loves to cook and the clients reap the reward. Yum, yum!  Thank you, Carol, for all you do.  We’re so proud to recognize you with this honor.  Keep doing the good stuff and God Bless!
