June 2021 Professional CAREGiver of the Month - Barbara W.
We are honored to celebrate with Barbara Wood for being our CAREGiver of the Month for June! Barb has a gentle, sweet spirit and a servant’s heart. She has a smile on her face every time she comes in the office and that is often because she loves to work and serve others. To get to know Barbara better, we asked her the following questions.
Where were you born? I was born in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Where did you grow up? My family moved around a lot because my dad worked on spacecrafts.
How long have you worked at HISC? I have worked for Home Instead since mid- April of 2020.
What’s your favorite part of caregiving? May favorite part of caregiving is knowing that I am helping a loving child of God who has helped others in their lifetime.
Tell us a little bit about yourself: My favorite hobbies are gardening and boating. I love flowers and boating is my God time. I live with my mother. We take care of each other. We have 2 cats that are really the bosses. LOL! I have done a little bit of everything. I mostly did hair for 30 years. There is a great feeling you get when you can make others feel good about themselves, which is what I can do at Home Instead. I really do love helping others.
