August 2021 Professional CAREGiver of the Month - Justina G.
Congratulations, Justina, for being our CAREGiver of the Month for August! Justina is remarkably dependable and quick to accept work. She loves making sure people have their needs met. She shared a little about herself so we could get to know her better.
Where were you born? I was born in San Andreas, California.
Where did you grow up? I grew up in West Point, California.
How long have you worked at HISC? I have been with Home Instead a little over a year.
What’s your favorite part of caregiving? I love caregiving because everyone has a story, something they have done and places they have been. I love to learn people's stories. I also love caregiving because I used to take care of my grandma. She was my favorite person and I always wanted to take care of people so that I could take care of them the way I did my grandma, so they always know they have someone who cares for them cause some people don't have anyone.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. I moved to Arkansas about 4 years ago. I have 1 handsome son who is 2 and 2 beautiful stepdaughters, 6 and 8. I love crafty type activities. My husband and I love to drive around, watch movies and we hope to be able to take a trip to California sometime. Another fun fact that Justina shared when she started as a CAREGiver is that she and her husband are from the same area in California, but they didn’t meet until they were living in Arkansas. It’s interesting how life works out sometimes.
