September 2023 Care Professional of the Month - Carmen O.
Congratulations Carmen Owens for being our Care Pro of the Month for September. Carmen is soft spoken but has a spunky spirit. She has a wonderful sense of humor. If you could see the phrase on her t-shirt in the picture above, you would understand that statement. Curiosity is getting the best of you, isn’t it? LOL Read on to learn more about this sweet, lovely lady.
Where were you born?
I was born in DeQueen, Arkansas.
Where did you grow up?
I was raised mainly in Fort Smith but spent all my summers in DeQueen with family.
How long have you worked at Home Instead?
I have been with Home Instead 4 ½ years.
What’s your favorite part about caregiving?
I love being a caregiver because it makes me feel like I make a difference, even if it is a small one.
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I have two grown children and eight grandchildren. I am raising my oldest granddaughter, who is thirteen. I’ve had her ever since she was born. My family is my world. My mother and I live together. She helps me with my granddaughter. I’m a country gal, so I love to go camping and fishing every chance I get or just relax reading a good book.
To sum up, there is a lot to be said in a name. C-consistent, A-attentive, R-reliable, M-mindful, E-earnest, N-nurturing.
