Veteran Caregiver Role:
As a Veteran Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and dedicated support to veterans who require assistance with daily activities due to physical or mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

• Personal Care: Assisting veterans with tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and medication reminders in a respectful and dignified manner.
• Companionship: Providing emotional support and companionship to veterans, engaging in conversations, and participating in activities to promote socialization and mental well-being.
• Mobility Assistance: Helping veterans with mobility issues, including transferring from beds to chairs, wheelchair assistance, and accompanying them on outings or appointments.
• Household Support: Assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment for the veteran.
• Advocacy: Serving as an advocate for veterans, communicating their needs and concerns to healthcare professionals, family members, and other relevant parties to ensure they receive the necessary care and support.
• Monitoring Health: Observing and reporting any changes in the veteran's condition or behavior to healthcare professionals, ensuring prompt attention to any health issues or emergencies.
• Respect for Dignity and Independence: Respecting the autonomy and independence of veterans while providing assistance and support tailored to their individual needs and preferences.

Part and Full-Time Hours Available:

• Part time hours: less than 30 hours per week
• Full time hours: 30 or more hours per week
• Minimum scheduled shift: 4 hours
• Maximum scheduled shift: 8 hours

Wage: Base wage: $19.00/hour

• Weekend Premium base wage increase $1.00/hour ($20/hour)
• If assigned shift is with more than one client the base wage will be increased $3/hour ($22/hour)
• If assigned shift is with more than one client on a weekend, the base wage will be increased $3/hour + $1.00 Premium ($23/hour)
