Home care services let people flourish in the everyday life they already know and love – while getting a little help to stay independent and mobile. With in-home care provided by Home Instead Norman care is personalized to the needs of the individual.

Home is familiar. Home is comfortable and provides a sense of security. As a senior ages, being in a place that is familiar to continue daily routines is very beneficial, especially for progressive memory conditions like Dementia.

Another benefit of home care for seniors is the dedicated Care Professional providing one-on-one care in a well-known environment. Care Professionals promote independence and companionship services while reducing the risk of falls and providing family with peace of mind knowing their loved one is safe.

Home Instead provides personalized care, support, and education to help enhance the lives of aging adults and their families. We strive to partner with each client and their family members to help meet the personalized needs of our clients. Home Instead is the world’s largest home care service provider and we have been allowing older adults to age in place for over 25 years.

What makes us unique is our foundational principles including focusing on relationships before tasks and our determination to provide superior quality service. Coupled with our culture, commitment to our clients and team members, Home Instead is committed to keeping seniors safe and comfortable in a familiar environment where they can live with dignity as they age.

Yes! Although we are part of a world leading franchise network, our office in Norman is locally owned and operated by Jeff Delancy. They are regularly out in the community visiting with clients, their families, and health care professionals to ensure the best quality of care is provided.

Yes. Our quality assurance program is led by our client care team, specifically our Nurse case managers. It consists of regular emails, phone calls, and visits with clients and their families to ensure the highest quality of care is being received. Through these we will be able to identify what aspects of the care plan are working well, what could be improved, and ensure we have an accurate read of the current condition of the client. We also involve our Care Professionals in the quality assurance process to make sure they have all the resources and information required to be successful with the client.

Very little. We plan ahead so that we have caregivers ready for clients who need immediate assistance with private home care services in Norman. In many cases we can set up care within 48 hours. We know that in situations such as a senior getting discharged from hospital to home, families do not always receive ample notice to make home care arrangements. We pride ourselves in being there for families during these stressful times.

Yes – tons! In fact, our Care Professionals go through comprehensive training that allows them to provide the highest quality Dementia Care. We take a person-centered approach to caring for individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s or other types of Dementia. This includes honoring who the senior was earlier in their life, maintaining a safe environment, and promoting cognitive engagement. We strongly believe that most seniors with this cognitive disease can not only remain living at home, but can also thrive and maintain a good quality of life.

Yes. We know many families wishes are for their loved one to receive end-of-life care at home. Home Instead Norman can play a key role in helping families in these situations to make that wish a reality. While families are eligible to receive home visits from palliative care doctors and nurses who manage medication, our role is to keep the individual comfortable as well as taking some of the stress off families in the process. Our compassionate team can be a comforting support system in these challenging times.

If you think you are interested in receiving senior home care services from Home Instead Norman, we encourage you to call us at (405) 310-2756 to speak to an in-home care expert. They will ask you questions to learn about your situation to see if we think this is something we can help with. You can also ask us all the questions that you have about our home care services in Norman, OK. If this is something we can help with (and you are still interested in exploring things further), the next step is to setup a care consultation. One of our coordinators will come to the home to assess the individual requiring care while sharing further details on our services. The consultation is also a great opportunity to ask other questions that come to mind to determine if you think we are a good fit for your family. If at this point or in the following days/weeks you decide you are interested in working with us, we will send over the paperwork to be signed. We can then go ahead in creating the care plan and locking down the schedule to get things officially started!
