About Us

Todd Barth - Franchise Owner

Todd Barth, Franchise Owner

Todd has a degree in organizational communication from Montana State University, a M.B.A. with an emphasis in management from George Fox University, and senior leadership training from Case Western Reserve. While at Montana State, he worked as an adjunct college professor. He has senior management experience with companies such as Black & Decker Corporation, Sherwin-Williams Corporation, and Valmont Industries. Todd has served on various community boards and has lead care groups with his church.​ Todd is a Certified Senior Advisor.

Kristi Barth - Franchise Owner

Kristi Barth, Franchise Owner

​Kristi has a B.A. in elementary education and special education from Montana State University. She has a M.A. in early childhood development and has many years work experience in teaching, and developing curriculum. Kristi is a Certified Senior Advisor. She runs a non-profit, Teens Finding Hope, for teens suffering with depression. Website is: www.teensfindinghope.org.

Danielle Barth, LCSW, CSA. - Managing Director

Danielle Barth, LCSW, CSA., Managing Director

Danielle has her B.A. in family and consumer sciences and psychology from Montana State University. She has her Masters in Social Work from the University of Georgia. Danielle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Danielle is a board member of her mother's non-profit, Teens Finding Hope, and has a heart for helping others. She came to Home Instead in April 2015 and has served as our Recruitment, Engagement and Training Manager and Director of Client Care. Danielle is now our Managing Director. Danielle is a Certified Senior Advisor and is excited to be serving seniors in the community alongside her parents.

Jeremiah Barth, LGBC, CMS - Senior Director of Operations & Compliance

Jeremiah Barth, LGBC, CMS, Senior Director of Operations & Compliance

Jeremiah has a background in Management and has been CNA certified. He came to work for Home Instead in Sept of 2016. Jeremiah has been in multiple roles and now oversees the company’s Operations and Compliance. Jeremiah loves to golf and play Cribbage. Jeremiah enjoys supporting Seniors in our Community with his parents and sister.

Denise Kozsey, RN - Director of Medication Services

Denise Kozsey, RN, Director of Medication Services

Denise was born and raised in California but has called the Pacific Northwest home since 2001. She has worked in healthcare for over sixteen years. She earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing. She is excited to be serving our community of seniors and their families with Home Instead and to be working with an amazing team is a blessing! Denise is actively involved with her church and children. Denise spends her leisure time fishing, camping, and enjoys spending time on the beautiful coast with her family.

Erynn Crawford, MSW - Director of Client Care

Erynn Crawford, MSW, Director of Client Care

Erynn is originally from the Chicago area. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri and went on to earn her Master of Social Work from Columbia University in New York City. Erynn has joined the Client Care team with over 5 years of gerontological case management and community-based social service experience. In her free time Erynn is an avid reader, a spicy food enthusiast and enjoys spending time with her miniature poodle, Rosie.

Alicia Sunada - Human Resource Manager

Alicia Sunada, Human Resource Manager

Alicia was born in Livermore, CA, Bay Area. She has three years experience working in the special needs field with adults and children. Alicia enjoys to travel around the world and is an avid attender of her local church in Tigard. Alicia is excited to work with Home Instead due to her love for helping people and working for a business that has great moral​s and beliefs.

Joni Copley - Staffing Manager

Joni Copley, Staffing Manager

Joni has worked with Home Instead since June 2011. She started as a CAREGiver, moved part-time as an On Call Supervisor, then Staffing Assistant/On-Call Supervisor and now holds the full-time position as Staffing and On-Call Manager. She misses her clients but loves working with the office team.

Joni and her husband Randy, they have 3 children, Josh, Jessica and Jacob and one granddaughter, Karlee.

Rebecca Callahan – Business & Community Development Manager

Rebecca Callahan, Business & Community Development Manager

Rebecca was born and raised in Michigan and has lived in Virginia & California. Rebecca has a B.A. in Gerontology, two AA&S degrees, and significant experience within home care. Rebecca is a tireless advocate of our vision to serve seniors and their families in our community with excellence and compassion. Rebecca is passionate about our many social purpose programs including Be A Santa To A Senior, Give 65, and many more. In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, making Christmas ornaments, and snuggling with her two Pomeranians.

Brandy Ganas - Staffing Coordinator & Weekend Administrative Support Coordinator

Brandy Ganas, Staffing Coordinator & Weekend Administrative Support Coordinator

Born and raised in California, Brandy moved to Oregon in 2017. She has two wonderful sons, 13 and 3 years old. Both have been diagnosed with Autism. Brandy graduated from MTI College in Sacramento, California in 2015 as a Medical Assistant and worked for 2 years in a private practice psychiatrist office after graduation. She started with Home Instead as a CAREGiver in 2017 and it was a great fit for her as most of the patients she had been with in the past were diagnosed with Alzheimer's and Dementia. Both of her grandmothers had Dementia as well, so it is fulfilling for her to work with clients who also have the same diagnosis. Brandy's background in administration has helped her move into the office and she is now working in the Scheduling Department where she helps match CAREGivers with clients and assists in introductions of these pairings. In her spare time, she loves to knit.

Courtney was born and raised in Hillsboro, Oregon! She went to school for a medical assistant and has worked as a NCMA specializing in sleep and pulmonary since graduating. She has always worked as a caregiver as a second job because she loves caring for people. It has always had a special place in her heart because she took care of both her dad and grandma during their end of life stage. Courtney had her first baby boy in August of 2019 and Home Instead gave her the opportunity to work from home as the On-Call Supervisor. She says she has been blessed with the opportunity to extend her role working in the office full time as a Scheduling Coordinator. When she is am not working, she loves being with her son, boyfriend and family! They enjoy watching basketball games (Go Blazers!) and UFC fights while eating their favorite Mexican dish! Her family would say she loves being her carefree, silly self and always brings joy and a sense of humor to the room!

Crystal Sharifi, CSWA - Lead Care Manager

Crystal was born and raised as an Oregonian. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice and went on to earn her master's degree in Social Work from University of Southern California. Crystal has over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. In her free time, she is a horror movie enthusiast, dog lover and loves spending time with friends and family.

Debbie was born and raised in California but has resided in Oregon since 1991. Both her sister and parents moved here as well so she is happy to have family close by. She was privileged to join Home Instead in 2019 and is excited to be serving our seniors! In her spare time, she is active in her church, enjoys trips to the beach, time with family, traveling, crafting and decorating. She is married to Ken, and raised 3 daughters- Claire, Katie and Kelsey. An empty-nester now, she and Ken have a sweet little rescue dog, Daisy.

Dianne Jeurgens - Office Support & Reception

Dianne Jeurgens, Office Support & Reception

​Dianne has been with Home Instead Senior Care for over 9 years. She started with us as a full-time CAREGiver, moving to a role as Ambassador to Senior Retirement Homes, and was the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator for a sister office. Dianne became our Community Relations and Events Coordinator and took over the growth and development of the Be A Santa to a Senior program (BASTAS). She is now a CAREGiver in the morning and in the office in the afternoons. Every Christmas (for the last 8 years) she has continued spearheading BASTAS. Personally, Dianne has one son and grandson, an identical twin sister in Vancouver and a brother in Boise. In her spare time, she loves to do lots of arts and crafts, including baking and her own version of "Flea Market Flip" items!

Jessica Perryman - Administrative Team & Client Care Support

Jessica Perryman, Administrative Team & Client Care Support

Jessica was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She started a career in care giving in 2008 and has a special place in her heart for hospice work and dementia patients. In 2016 she was hired as a CAREGiver for Home Instead and has gradually worked her way from there into the office. Jessica is our 'Jill of all trades' and is now working in the medication department and is working towards furthering her education. Jessica has been married for 13 years and has a growing family. Her happy space is in the outdoors; camping, hiking, kayaking, fishing, all with her family and two furry friends.

Karen serves as our Office Manager, juggling a wide range of administrative and support related tasks for our entire team. Karen started with Home Instead in 2009 and has knowledge and experience in a variety of roles including marketing and client care. She is excited to continue her career as Office Manager and loves making a difference in the lives of others. Karen loves design, hiking and biking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

​Laken is originally from Palm Springs, CA. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Iowa and went on for her Master in Social Work from Augsburg University. Laken has over 5 years of social work experience in health care and hospice. In her free time she enjoys biking, hiking, and spending time with dogs.

Lisa Wisniewski, RN - Medication Services

Lisa Wisniewski, RN, Medication Services

Originally from the East Coast, Lisa has called Oregon home since 1992. She has worked in healthcare for over 20 years, focusing on the senior population for the last 10 years. As a certified Gerontological RN, Lisa has extensive knowledge in-home care needs. Lisa spends her leisure time cross-country skiing, biking, knitting, and hiking with her dog.

Miranda is a born Oregonian but grew up in Montana. There she graduated with a degree in Graphic Design from Montana State University but moved back to Oregon to be with family. She enjoys art, reading, and adventuring around the Pacific Northwest with her canine pal, Callie. Miranda is very excited to help Home Instead grow through her recruitment role and to show everyone what a great group of people work for Home Instead through social media.

Nicole was born in Hot Springs south Dakota and has lived in Oregon in all her life. She has three beautiful kids; one girl and two boys. She has worked with Home Instead for about 2 years, starting as a caregiver. She then moved into the office as a Staffing Coordinator and On-Call Supervisor. She has a background in early childhood education and Theology. Her passion in life is to serve others and believes that the purpose of life is to lay one's life down and serve, not be served. She is proud to say that she is doing that daily in her job at Home Instead!

Pennie is originally from California and has relocated to Oregon five years ago. She is married with two sons and a granddaughter with a love for working with Seniors. Over ten years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant and CAREGiver, she considers it a privilege to continue to work with such a caring and dedicated staff serving Seniors in our community.

Samantha Utt - Weekend Staffing Coordinator and On-Call Coordinator

Samantha Utt, Weekend Staffing Coordinator and On-Call Coordinator

​Samantha was originally born in the PNW, but was raised in the Midwest. She returned to the area to help provide care for her elderly grandmother. She has been a caregiver since 2014 and has a variety of experience with the elderly. She joined the Home Instead team in 2017 as a CAREGiver and in June of 2020 she joined the staffing department as an On-Call Supervisor. When Samantha isn't providing care or volunteering, she enjoys running and spending time outdoors with her two dogs.

Sarah was born and raised in Oregon. She earned her Bachelor and Master degrees in Social Work from George Fox University. She is a recent graduate with three years of experience working in case management in the healthcare and education systems. In her free time she enjoys reading, baking, spending time with friends and family.
