Care Professional of the Month for March 2024- Channie R.
Congratulations to our Care Professional of the month for March, Channie R.! Channie has been with Home Instead since 2018. Channie was referred by a friend to Home Instead. At the time, she had been helping take care of her mother and Channie admitted that she didn’t feel qualified to provide the care her mother needed. She wanted to learn more caregiving techniques and turn her love of helping her family into a way to serve others.
Channie fully believes that working with Home Instead is not just a job but a part of a mission that God has given her. “Going through challenging times personally and then caring for my mother, I didn’t know what to do next. I had to fully trust and love the Lord. I had to learn to be prayerful about everything before reacting. I just wanted to make a difference. I have a true willingness to learn and serve where the Lord leads me,” said Channie.

One of her favorite client memories demonstrates perfectly how much Channie loves to learn and be a constant student in life. “One of my client’s wives had lived on a farm growing up and she knew how to be resourceful with cooking, canning, and even farming. I wanted to learn from her as much as I could because I felt it was knowledge that could always be used and shared,” said Channie.
