CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Many families are in desperate need of in-home caregivers, but one local program is struggling to meet the demand.
Lisa Medlin is a recruitment and training coordinator for Home Instead. She says the senior population is continuing to grow and that people are preferring to stay at home, especially with the pandemic.
“It’s great ... having her come over and having someone to talk to besides this TV,” said Catherine Day. Day started using Home Instead about five years ago after retiring from teaching.
