About Us
Meet Our Home Care Team

Chuck Coker LCSW, MBA, Owner
Chuck is a Valdosta native who earned a degree in Business Management from the University of Georgia, an MBA from Florida State University and a master's degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University. He has 28 years of business ownership experience and over 8 years' experience as a licensed therapist working in the fields of addiction and family therapy. Through his experience as a therapist, he acquired a passion to assist seniors and their families as they enter a new phase of their lives in which they needed some assistance in daily living. Accomplishing this with compassion while helping our clients maintain independence and dignity is the focus of the work Chuck and his team of over 80 Caregivers and support staff do.
Chuck is also a Certified Equine Therapist who enjoys utilizing horses as they assist humans in "self-discovery".

Kelly Gibbs, Operations Manager
Kelly was born and raised in Valdosta, GA and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communications from Valdosta State in 2014. She began working with Home Instead in February of 2020. She came to Home Instead because she has always had a passion for the senior community and a heart for the elderly. She is happiest when she is spending time with her husband and children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and going to the beach which is definitely her happy place. She always strives to live life to the fullest and is so grateful to be part of such an amazing team!

Jessica Brantley, Service Coordinator
Jessica joined the Home Instead team in October of 2020. She really enjoys meeting and conversating with clients and Caregivers about their care and needs. She has always had a big heart for the elderly. Jessica makes it her priority to build a relationship with the seniors and the Caregivers to let them know she is always available to assist. Whether it be the need for someone to talk to, just seeing a friendly face, or just being someone that doesn't mind lending a helping hand. She has been blessed with 2 beautiful kids who bring her so much joy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, bowling, and traveling. She lives by these inspirational words 'You can do anything as long as you have the passion, the drive, the focus, and the support". She is thankful to be a part of an outstanding team!!

Susan Atwell, Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator
Susan became a part of the Home Instead team in April 2021. Originally from Maryland, she followed the sun and warm weather to Georgia in 2015. She has a Bachelor degree in business and a career background in non-profit organizations including a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) where she loved working with seniors and their caregivers. In her free time she spends time with her husband and dogs, reading, gardening, and doing crossword puzzles and art projects. She approaches every challenge with the motto she learned back in high school as her guide, "Find a way or make one". She always finds a way to take care of others and to be appreciative of all that life gives her.

Amanda Hughes, Service Coordinator Assistant
Amanda joined the Home Instead team in May 2021. Before working with our team, Amanda worked in the health care field for 12 years. She has always had a big heart and loves to care for anyone. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, family, and friends. Amanda is excited for the opportunity to share her compassion with her community. She has finally found her “home” at Home Instead. She enjoys working with the team and finding the perfect caregiver for our clients.

Leslie Belanger, RN, Director of Personal Care
Leslie joined the Home Instead team in April 2018. She received her nursing degree from Darton College in Albany, Ga. She has been a practicing nurse for 22 years. Leslie began her career in women’s health and was recently an OR nurse manager. She values the clients and their family members, and enjoys getting to know them personally. She feels honored that she and the Home Instead team can assist the clients and their loved ones, by helping navigate a new phase of their lives. She knows how important a compassionate, understanding ear can be to a client. Leslie enjoys spending time with her husband and her two boys.

Taylor Cannon, Office Coordinator
Taylor was born and raised in southern Arkansas, where she gained a deep appreciation of family and connection. She joined the Home Instead family in January of 2022, and she looks forward to growing with the community of like-minded people that she’s found. She knows that every person that she meets has a different personality, and she relishes the opportunity to gain insight into their individual life experiences. Taylor believes that you can learn something from every conversation. Taylor uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. She is inspired daily by her husband and their pets: a black lab named Blue, and a house cat named Bennie. In her free time, Taylor likes to hike, solve puzzles, and create art.
