Helping others, getting to know our clients and assisting people so they can receive the care they need. It's so easy to become attached to clients because of the strong relationships you build over time.

I used to care for my mother and that opportunity made me realize that I want to help others in the same way.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my kids, crafting, and just overall being a social butterfly
What is your biggest piece of advice to other Care Professionals?
Pay attention to the little details when at your clients home. Take note of what their likes and dislikes are--no matter how big or small! This will help build a trusting relationship between you and your client.
What drew you to Home Instead?
My previous job was not flexible enough and I wanted to find a job that would allow me to stay home with my kids. Home Instead was the perfect fit for my needs and lifestyle.
What word(s) would you use to describe yourself?
Positive. I try my best to enjoy every single day and to have a positive mindset.
What do you like most about working at Home Instead?
I love the special bond you build with your clients.

Go with what your heart is telling you. Do what you think is best.
What drew you to Home Instead?
I wanted to be a foster parent but it never happened so I started wondering about how I could find another way to help others. I heard about Home Instead on the radio and I thought it sounded like the right fit.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy flying! I have a certificate for the FAA and would like to practice flying a little more. Someday I want to fly over the entire span of the Appalachian mountains.
What is your biggest piece of advice to other Care Professionals?
Be early to your first assignment and read the assessment before you arrive. Make sure your first introduction is top notch!
What drew you to Home Instead?
There was a time period when I was caring for my wife. It was a hard time but I learned to know the importance of having quality care for your loved ones.
What three words would you use to describe yourself?
Inquisitive, energetic, and traveler.
What do you like most about working at Home Instead?
I enjoyed the high quality and efficient training we received. It's nice to know that Cathy is there for us if we need to have any training refreshers.
