She has worked in the health field for over a decade in different specialties such as Cardiology, Endocrinology, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing Homes. Her love for Gerontology brought her to Home Instead five years ago. Her passion has always been serving and caring for those around her. Home Instead Senior Care allows her to make a difference every day, whether it's helping family members, a community partner we serve, or our outstanding caregivers. In addition to being an advocate for seniors, Sheena is a board member for FirstLink and West Fargo Area Community Partners.

Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Drew, and her two children: Trew (9) and Hadley (6). The Sando family enjoys spending summers at the lake, sports, hiking, fishing, and waterparks!

Ilia Haugland, Client Care Coordinator

Ilia Haugland, Client Care Coordinator

‚ÄčI was born and raised in Walhalla, N.D. one of six siblings. I attended Mayville state college and have worked in the financial field for 40 years. I am married and have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. I love the lake life and I am an avid vintage and antique guru. I am very excited to start this new chapter in my life, it is something I always wanted to pursue.

I grew up most of my life around the elderly, as my mother worked in a nursing home for 40 years. I took care of both my Parents, Grandfather, Aunt, and my Husbands Grandmother until their passing. And I would say that was my most rewarding achievement to date. I bring with me the best experience you could have and that is living it.

Jessica Christenson

Jessica Christenson, General Manager

Jessica grew up in Hawley, MN, and attended Hawley High School. She went on to graduate with an associate of applied science degree from the College of St. Catherine in Minneapolis, MN. After graduation, Jessica moved to Abilene TX where she worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Jessica has worked in the healthcare field for over a decade and has always been passionate about serving and caring for others. Her heart has always been in gerontology; which is what led her to Home Instead.

When Jessica is not in the office, she enjoys being with her two children, Sophia (10) and Gunnar (5). You can also find her reading books (she loves WWII history), hiking, paddle boarding, snuggling on the couch watching a movie, and traveling.

Rebekah Walvatne, Service Coordinator

Rebekah Walvatne, On-Call Supervisor

Rebekah joins our team after four years with Sanford specializing in the administrative side of durable medical equipment and home modifications.

She grew up in Yorktown, Virginia and moved to Fargo with her husband and kids in the summer of 2016, having never even visited the Midwest!

And while the beach holds a special place in her heart, she is starting to appreciate the wonderland that snow brings, but wishes it was for a few less months of the year.

When not at work, she can be found with her two daughters playing sports, tending to their plants and animals, or working on a puzzle.

Three different sports, over fifty houseplants and six animals (including a cat, a bunny, and several reptiles) keep them very busy.

She has always held a special place in her heart for long term care and can't wait to make a difference in her community by keeping our seniors safe and in their homes where they belong.
