Kurt and I worked side by side since 2008 serving seniors of the Cumberland and Perry County areas. Upon Kurt's passing in May of 2019, I was given the opportunity to acquire Home Instead. I am thrilled about this opportunity and I look forward to engaging with the community and continuing to support our team and our amazing Care Professionals! I feel especially blessed to be able to carry on Kurt's legacy through our children and Home Instead.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking for family and friends, going to the beach, and playing bocce.
Eric Morrison, Chief Operating Officer
Our Chief Operating Officer, Eric, is a Penn State University graduate where he earned a bachelor's degree in business management with a focus in Organizational Behavior and Leadership. Since graduating, he worked as an operations manager and successfully opened and operated a dental office in York, PA. He has several years of business management experience to bring to our team and is excited to be making an impact in our office as well as in the community.
Eric resides in York, PA with his wife, Abby. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, boating, and golfing.
Abby Morrison, General Manager
Abby joined the Home Instead team in October of 2019 as Office Coordinator and then becoming our Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator. Abby quickly realized she had a passion for the loving service we provide to seniors in our community. This led her to her current role as General Manager. She now focuses on all aspects of the business making strides to ensure we can serve the seniors of York County.
Abby loves speaking with all of our clients and Care Professionals on the phone every day. In her free time, she enjoys boating, exercising, and spending time with her husband, Eric, and their French bulldog.
Lydia Jones, Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator
Lydia has always had a passion for helping others, starting with caring for her grandmother. As her caregiver, she found immense fulfillment in supporting her grandma’s health and happiness. This prompted her to become a Care Professional in 2023 when she joined Home Instead- York. She quickly became a favorite amongst her clients and recently transitioned into the role of Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator. Transitioning from Care Professional to Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator has given her a unique perspective on caregiving from both sides which helps her hire and mentor new Care Professionals.
Outside of work, Lydia enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, exploring nature through hiking, and enjoying playful moments with her cat, Pipsqueak.
Jan Sydnor, Service Coordinator
Jan began her journey with Home Instead in 2019 as a Care Professional. Driven by a desire to help seniors in our community, she found great joy in assisting her clients with their daily needs. Later, she transitioned to the role of Quality Assurance Manager, where she had the opportunity to meet with clients and their families to improve their experience with Home Instead. In 2020, Jan became our Service Coordinator and now enjoys her daily interactions with clients and Care Professionals as she uses her former caregiving experience to help make optimal client-Care Professional matches.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and friends.
