Kelli McCarthy-Ratcliff, Human Resources Manager

Kelli McCarthy-Ratcliff, Human Resources Manager

Kelli joined the team at Home Instead in March of 2013. She has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of Human Resources, including recruiting, employee relations, and training. She studied at Tulane University in Biloxi, MS, for Human Resources and has had many hours of Employment Law-related seminars. Her focus is to obtain the best-qualified CarePros and match their talents with the needs of our seniors. Kelli will be conducting orientation and implementing training classes to ensure our seniors have the best possible care. She will also be assisting in scheduling our CarePros for shifts and other needs as they may arise.

Kelli is from Biloxi, MS. She is married to Chris and has two children, Alexandria and Zachary, and three grandchildren, Jaxon, Couper and Avery.  In her free time, enjoys boating, jeeping, and spending time with her family and friends.

Jeneen Schonewitz, Service Manager

Jeneen Schonewitz, Service Manager

Jeneen joined the team at Home Instead Senior Care in March of 2015. She has over ten years of experience in Office Management/Executive Assistant, including employee schedules, accounting, training, data processing, and maintaining updated information. She studied at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Biloxi, MS, for Business Management and has had many hours of Office Management-related seminars. Her focus is to help maintain a professional atmosphere within the office. She will also assist in scheduling our CarePros for shifts and billing and other needs as they may arise.

Jeneen is from Pass Christian, MS. She is married to Doug, and together they have four children, Austin, Jenson, Gracie, and Colton. When she is not working in the office, she stays busy with her Cosmetology license, boating, outdoor activities, and supporting the kids in their sports.

Christopher Thompson, Home Care Coordinator

Christopher Thompson, Home Care Coordinator

Christopher joined the team at Home Instead in May 2019. He has five years of health care experience, including four years working with senior care. As the Home Care Consultant for Home Instead Senior Care, Christopher is a resource and advocate for seniors in the community and our health care partners who also provide services to older adults in our coastal communities. Christopher has been a facilitator for Alzheimer's support groups for the last four years through the Alzheimer's Association. Christopher now volunteers his time in assisted living communities all over Mississippi Gulf Coast, working with family caregivers on how to improve the lives of those with Dementia and Alzheimer's disease. He has volunteered his time providing games, support groups, and activities to help seniors and family caregivers with a loved one with dementia.

Christopher, who is from Laurel, MS, earned his Bachelor's degree from Mississippi College with an emphasis in marketing. He is married to Linsey and has three children, Emery, Aiden, and Ryleigh. He enjoys boating and spending time with his family and friends.

Sophia Fairley, Receptionist

Sophia Fairley, Recruitment & Retention Coordinator

Sophia joined our staff in August 2020. She has 12 years of customer service, including administrative, recruitment, sales, and marketing. She studied at The University of Southern Mississippi and received her Associate's Degree in Industrial Engineering.

In October 2021, Sophia was promoted to Recruitment & Retention Coordinator. Sophia seeks to find great, quality CarePros for all Home Instead Clients and loves supporting CarePros in their role. Her focus is on ensuring all our Clients and CarePros are being treated with the proper care and assistance that Home Instead provides.

She's from Moss Point, MS but has lived in Vancleave, MS, for eight years. She has been married to Willie for 15 years, and they have two children, Willie III and Willow. She enjoys singing, church, and her newly learned hobby of swimming.


Lisa Kirkland, Client Care Coordinator, LPN

Lisa joined the Home Instead team in May 2022 as the Client Care Coordinator, LPN.   She was raised in Gulfport, MS, and is a former resident of Gatlinburg, TN. She recently returned to the Gulf Coast and resides in Saucier, MS.

Lisa graduated from the PN program at MGCCC in Gulfport, MS, in 2005 and has extensive nursing experience in Medical-Surgical, Long-Term Care, Pediatrics, Private Duty, Case Management, and Performance Improvement. In addition, she holds certifications in Covid management, Dementia care, BLS, Medical/Billing Coding, Pharmacy Tech, Dental Assisting, and EMT.

Lisa has a sense of dedication toward the geriatric community. She strives for medical excellence to assist clients in maintaining independence in their preferred environment via that, be it at home or facility, based on attention to safety.

Lisa is a mother to two boys, Jordan and Hayden, and is a volunteer with the TN Rapid Response Team and American Red Cross. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, restoring an antique truck with her spouse John, playing video games, camping, and traveling.
