Home Instead senior care was successful in their Santa to a Senior donations drive this season, filling all of their needs thanks to people and businesses in the community.
The Be a Santa to a Senior drive accepts items such as blankets, socks, candy and other similar items for seniors under the care of Home Instead caregivers throughout the Barren River area, says Home Care Consultant April Flowers.
“We are just extremely thankful. Up until two weeks ago, you know, we weren’t sure if all of our angels are going to get picked up this year with the economy the way that it is. Some people are really struggling. But honestly, the community in this area really came through for us,” Flowers said.
Home Instead will still accept donations, but they can also put people into contact with other groups in the community that care for seniors who also accept donations.
