Patricia Kennedy, Franchise Owner
Patricia Kennedy was raised in Berwyn, majored in veterinary science at the University of Illinois and holds an MBA from Oklahoma City University. As a Captain in the US Army, Pat was one of the first female helicopter medical evacuation and search and rescue pilots and crew leaders. She flew operationally in Korea and in the Persian Gulf 1991, for which she was awarded the Combat Air Medal and the Bronze Star for Valor. Pat has also worked for Humana, A.G. Edwards and Pfizer. In 2002 she became a Branch Owner with Home Instead, the nation’s leading in-home care provider. She is a member of the Aging Well Governing Council and the National Speakers’ Association. Pat is a Certified Senior Adviser, has a postgraduate qualification in Geriatric Care Management and is studying for her Doctorate while maintaining close involvement in Client Care.

Michele Gallione, Care Manager
Michele Gallione is our Care Manager. She has a passion for providing quality home care. Michele has over 25 years of diverse business and management experience. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration. Michele is responsible for ensuring our cases are started and continue with care.

Ashley Kryger, Recruitment & Retention
Ashley Kryger, our Recruitment and Retention Coordinator, holds a B.S. from Lewis University with a minor in Business Administration. Ashley is responsible for: employee hiring process, engagement and compliance. Ashley has applied her high level of energy and dedication to HISC since 2009.

Sharon Harting, Scheduling Coordinator
Sharon Harting is our Scheduling Coordinator. Sharon joined us in 2016 following six years’ rehabilitation scheduling experience. Sharon engages proactively and compassionately in her challenging role of matching clients and caregivers, in order to provide excellent customer service to both. Sharon has two associate’s degrees.

Nicole Slattery, Operations Coordinator
Nicole Slattery, our Operations Coordinator, has experience in accounting, insurance, office management, and sales. Nicole has an Associates in Business. She supports HISC by researching and developing new methods, services, and training. She is around to help make Home Instead be the best it can be!

Nikki Noonan, Financial Coordinator
Nikki Noonan, our Financial Coordinator. Nikki has a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago. In the last 25 years has worked in the accounting department of several businesses – consulting firms, banks, & dance studios. Here at HISC are client billing, payroll and admin/financial projects.

Courtney Svoboda, VA Client Care Specialist
Courtney Svoboda, our VA Client Care Specialist & On Call Scheduler. She attended College of DuPage where she focused on Psychology and Sociology. She works with each VA client to ensure they are happy, healthy and up to date with all proper authorizations. As an On Call scheduling coordinator she handles all questions and concerns.

Tom Ellen, Marketing and Care Consultant
Tom Ellen retired as a field artillery Lieutenant Colonel after 31 years' service in the British Army. He holds Masters degrees in Corporate Management from Cranfield University and in Management and Leadership from the London City & Guilds Institute. Recalled to active duty, Tom regularly returns as our Marketing and Care Consultant, a role he has filled since we opened our Office in 2002.

Ivy Winter, Administrative Support
Ivy Winter worked full-time at Loyola Hospital before retiring. She joined Home Instead in 2002. She works in a number of supportive administrative roles. She is also our beloved resident houseplant expert.

Liz Rietz, Financial Controller
Our Financial Controller since 2006, Liz Rietz holds a Master's degree in Physics from Tufts University and a Master's degree in Finance at Harvard Extension. Liz is also a business owner, with extensive management and computer science experience.

Oakley Kryger, Emotional Support Animal

Robbie Ellen, Therapy Dog
Robbie is currently on sabbatical in the UK. He is a border collie mix from Scotland. Robbie has his own Pet Passport. His favorite pastimes are chasing tennis balls (which will not be returned) and accumulating airmiles.
