Rich Berube, Owner

It's personal to me because I've had to make that call to someone you don't know, and ask them to care for your parents. My mom has Alzheimers' and my 83-year-old dad was recovering from heart surgery not long ago. I felt so relieved that I could place my trust in the owner and staff of a HomeInstead office in another state. They did a great job, and my dad loved his CAREGiver! It's also personal to me because I've spent the bulk of my 30-year career in health care, either running health not-for-profits, or helping physician organizations grow for improved clinical and operational results. My personal mission is to provide you and your family with the best-trained, most compassionate CAREGivers, so that the seniors we love can stay independent, active, and safe in their homes or wherever they may be.

Brent Stephens, General Manager

It's personal to me because as a former CAREGiver I experienced first-hand the joy that can be had in developing loving, caring relationships with our clients. I primarily worked with gentlemen and was amazed at the life events in which they had encountered and lived through. Seniors have much to share and so much can be learned from just simply asking questions and listening. As an organization we have the opportunity to be a bright, shining light for good in Central Kentucky. We do this by providing compassionate and committed care that helps our clients stay in their homes longer, and continue to live rich, fulfilling lives.

“To me, it’s personal because I can go to work knowing that I am making a difference in other’s lives. Caring for those who once cared for us is an honor. I feel privileged to have the opportunity of doing my very best to help them stay in the place they call home.”

Tara Cooper, Recruitment Coordinator

Coming from my Social Work background my passion is to help others, and my role as Recruiting Coordinator gives me that opportunity.  My goal is to hire and train the best Care Professionals who have a heart for caring for our clients. When I interview each applicant I treat them as if I am hiring them to care for my own family members. I would want the very best for my family, so to me it’s personal.

Stacey Osborne, RN - Client Care Coordinator

Its personal to me because my grandmother was fortunate to have an in-home caregiver. She developed an instant bond with Peggy. My grandmother loved to cook and bake. They began baking birthday cakes for the monthly birthday parties at her independent living facility. Grandmother became known as the birthday cake lady. She was independent and very happy. There were less falls and less medical visits. Our family had peace of mind that grandmother was safe and thriving in her own home.

Alicia Burnett, Staffing Coordinator

Why is it personal for ME? Well, its personal to me for countless reasons; I will share a few. My nature, as a human being, is that I'm a very caring and loving person (not to toot my own horn!). I love to help anyone that I can. It seriously warms my heart and makes me feel better as a person. Personally, I do not have any family of my own outside of my children. When helping others, I treat them and care for them as if they were my family. I have become a much better person, wholeheartedly, since becoming a caregiver and working in this field of business. I truly believe that caring for others is what GOD intended for me and I'm serving Him proudly!

JO Ella Dinan

I am involved in recruiting, training, and mentoring CAREgivers for our clients. Having over 15 years of CAREgiving experience - both with family and professionally - I seek those with a CAREgiver's heart, who have learned, or are willing to learn, how to match their skills to their heart. Our clients deserve the best available, those who care for them the way they themselves will one day want to be treated.

Kathy Werner, Billing and A/R Specialist

. My mom had Alzheimer’s. She was a woman that I had looked up to and admired my whole life…she had always taken care of others. She took care of not only her five children, but her mom, my grandfather and my aunt. I saw from an early age, how she treated them with love and compassion; never complaining.

When she developed Alzheimer’s and could no longer take care of herself or my aunt, I followed in her footsteps. I had learned from a great lady in how to treat others with dignity and respect. It gave me a sense of fulfillment, joy and peace to be able to give back to her and my aunt.

After they both had passed, I wanted to continue in helping others. I joined Home Instead and became a caregiver. I considered that to be an honor and a blessing to be able to help clients stay in their homes. They became like “family”. There is no better feeling knowing that you are making a difference in someone’s life. That is what we are here to do!

Lorri Mills, Quality Care Consultant

My father-in-law lived with ALS for over a decade. While there were multiple family members participating in his care, it was wonderful to have Kathy come in daily to cook and clean and provide personal care for my father-in-law to give the family some respite over the many, many years he was ill. He was able to stay in his own home with all his family, including grands and great grands close by.

It is very satisfying to play a small part in the life changing difference the compassionate, dependable Home Instead Care Professionals provide to our clients and their families.
