The Nurse is expected to perform a variety of duties that relate to client care including taking service inquires, care consultations with potential clients and family members, client/CAREGiverSMintroductions and quality assurance visits with existing clients. They use the consultative sales approach to determine each individual client’s needs to provide solutions and create a tailored service plan. They continuously evaluate the plan through a series of ongoing communications and visits to ensure high quality care, client satisfaction and retention as well as opportunities to increase service hours. The Nurse will also perform “designated” nursing tasks as well as overseeing and supervising and training CAREGivers who will perform Medically Delegated Tasks.

Job Type: Part-time

Part-time hours: 15-20 per week

Salary: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

  • LPN/RPN (required)

Work Location: On the road

  • Companionship and conversation
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Accompanying clients to appointments
  • Contributing to a positive living environment to enhance a client’s quality of life
  • Dementia and Alzheimer's support
  • Personal Care
  • Mobility assistance
  • Palliative Care

Requirements of the Position:

  • Visits are between 2 and 12 hours in length and occur on a weekly ongoing basis
  • Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English and, upon hire, provide a clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector check.
  • Own vehicle with valid auto insurance is not required, but considered an asset.
