Caitlyn Hampson, Franchise Owner

Caitlyn joined the Home Instead family in 2010 as an Administrative Assistance in New Hampshire, where she spent ten years learning all aspects of the business, culminating in her appointment as the Executive Director. She is forever grateful for the opportunity to learn the business and see the direct impact our services have on families. This opportunity cemented her decision to become a Franchise Owner. On October 1, 2019, Caitlyn became the Franchise Owner of Home Instead offices covering the North Shore and Essex County in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She and her team reap the satisfaction of helping to improve the lives of clients and their families.

Prior to joining the Home Instead network, Caitlyn worked for a family law attorney while attending the University of New Hampshire, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling the world and exploring new places. She lives with her 2 fur babies – 1 dog and 1 cat – in the area where she grew up.

Yahaira Garcia, Director of Operations

Yahaira joined our team in July 2021 as our Client Service Manager after years in the industry. She is responsible for coordinating our client and employee schedules, creating and maintaining relationships within the community and supporting our field staff.  Prior to joining our team, she worked for other home care providers in the area to help support families who need care and employ individuals who excel at providing the care needed.

Yahaira attended Northern Essex Community College and participated in the Medical Assistance & Phlebotomy program.  She started in the home care industry as a Personal Care Assistant and then transitioned into the office as a scheduler.  She continued her professional growth in the industry working her way up to a manager.

When you meet Yahaira you will quickly learn that she strongly believes that home care provides individuals a better quality of life rather than a nursing home.

When Yahaira isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her family (her kids Zeek & Yari) and taking family trips to Florida.  She loves to dance Bachata, and her favorite color is yellow.

Maria Swiacke, Administrative Assistant

Maria Swiacke joined our team in December 2022 as a caregiver and then moved into our Administrative Assistant role in October 2023.  Maria had worked with people all of her life, she enjoys getting to know them and relating to them on a one-on-one basis.  Maria originally got into caregiving as a way to give back to our aging population, but with extensive experience in hospitality, sales and administrative roles, it was a natural transition for her to move from the field into the office.

As our Administrative Assistant, Maria is willing to help our team, clients and families, offer a solution to a pending problem, try to make a hard day a little easier for someone who might need a little encouragement, taking the time to listen, and maybe make some small difference in their day!

Being part of Home Instead is important to Maria because she feels that she is giving back to our older community, their families and make it a better transition for them.  Helping navigate, to the next passage is important for them, knowing that there is someone there who cares about their wellbeing.  It is important to them, but there is nothing more gratifying and fulfilling that knowing you have made a difference in someone’s life and day!

Care Professionals

Home Instead CAREGivers are the foundation of our company. They are the first line of service which is why we pride ourselves on only hiring the most experienced and qualified CAREGivers in the industry. We go above and beyond the hiring requirements mandated by the state when screening our caregivers. CAREGivers are thoroughly screened before hiring through a state wide criminal background check, a national criminal background check, elder abuse check, RMV checks, previous employment and reference verification, and drug tests.

We employ a wide range of caregivers to fit our clients individual needs. These CAREGivers provide caring companionship and quality personal care while encouraging independence. We have CAREGivers who are experienced in handling advanced chronic diseases such as Alzheimer’s & dementia, Parkinson’s, Diabetes and COPD. Our caregivers are experienced in assisting with colostomy, urostomy, and oxygen. They receive support from our office team 24/7.

We provide initial training that offers over 50 hours of unparalleled education as well as monthly continuing education training. Our goal is to keep them informed with the latest care advances. Our Client Journal and subsequent Life Journal is a centerpiece of our training program in an effort to keep our clients independent in their homes for as long as possible.

All of our CAREGivers share a common desire to make a difference in the life of a senior.

On-Call Coordinator

As we answer the telephone 24 hours a day to ensure that all Client and CAREGiver needs are met in a timely fashion, our On Call Coordinator may be one of the friendly voices that you hear after regular business hours, on the weekends or during holiday hours when the office is otherwise closed.
