October 2021 CAREGiver of the Month – Lily T-B.
Lily joined our team of professional caregivers in August 2020 and has been an awesome addition! We feel very blessed to have her as part of the Home Instead family and love that she shares her kind spirit and compassionate heart with our senior clients each and every day.
Born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Lily says she would love to one day work as a nurse or other medical professional helping others, but admits she hasn’t quite figured out what she wants to do exactly. In the meantime, she is enjoying her time as a caregiver and says what she loves most about working for Home Instead is how supportive the office staff is and how well they take care of their caregivers.
When asked to share a favorite memory or experience caring for a senior, Lily mentions a time when a client who was bedbound and on hospice care confided she loved the Simpsons Pink D’ohnuts and how she’d love to get one. So, the next time Lily visited this client she surprised her with one! Lily recalls, “The way her face lit up when she saw it made me so happy! That is just one of the many good client memories I have.”
