May 2021 CAREGiver of the Month – Franzesca A.
Franzesca joined Home Instead Denver North in February 2020 shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic and has been a great addition to our team. Born in the Philippines, Franzesca moved to Colorado at the age of four. As the baby of her family, she helps care for her parents which provided her some experience prior becoming a professional caregiver. Franzesca also believes caregiving is a wonderful steppingstone into her desired career as a nurse. She is currently pursuing her CNA certification at Red Rocks and hopes to graduate in 2024 from either Regis or CU Denver as a Registered Nurse.
What Franzesca says she loves most about being a professional caregiver is the opportunity to meet interesting new clients and learn about their backgrounds and life stories, affirming “a lot of wisdom is passed on through their stories.” In fact, one of her favorite activities with her clients is going through old family photo albums with them and she thinks it is just amazing hear these seniors talk about their favorite memories.
