May Professional Caregiver of the Month: Loalee F
Loalee has been a Professional Caregiver for over a decade, and she joined the Home Instead Denver North team in January of 2023. When asked what led her down this career path Loalee says, “I wanted an opportunity to give back to the Seasoned that provided and sacrificed the way for me today.” She enjoys bringing smiles and comfort to those for whom she provides care and recalls a client who was starting the day with a negative attitude regarding the challenges of the day, but Loalee brought laughter and joy when she arrived that day and the client’s mood and attitude changed to one of “What’s next?” and a changed heart. This gives her the attitude that anything is possible if you listen, love, and motivate with kindness. Her best piece of advice to fellow Caregivers is to always remember that no matter the situation, it’s you that can change one’s mindset. Loalee, 50% Hawaiian, was born and raised in Hawaii and is one who honors her culture by sharing the Aloha spirit. She takes pride in her heritage and culture by teaching and performing the hula, and with her baking of traditional Hawaiian breads, which we have been fortunate enough to enjoy at the office!
