March Professional Caregiver of the Month: Julieta V
Julieta joined our Home Instead Denver North team over 3 years ago, and this is her second nomination for Professional Caregiver of the Month over the course of those 3 years!!!! Julieta was inspired to become a caregiver after seeing how much her family relied on her parents’ caregivers back in Mazatlán, Mexico where Julieta was born and raised. She says it feels nice to pay it forward to the families to whom she is providing support. She recalls a dear veteran client to whom she provided years of care who, despite his situation and many physical limitations, loved enjoying dessert with her on a regular basis. “It made him so happy,” she says. “Moments like that go beyond caring for someone’s basic needs.” When asked for one caregiving tip she can share with her fellow Professional Caregivers, Julieta says that when you are able to do so, go the extra mile for your clients to make each day even a little more enjoyable for them. Aside from the joy that caregiving brings her, Julieta says she is happiest on the beach eating fresh seafood, staying busy with artwork (she has her own Etsy shop), gardening, and her love of God. She and her husband have raised 4 children, and they have been blessed with 5 grandchildren as well! Thank you Julieta for being such a phenomenal part of our team these past 3 years!
