July 2022 Professional Caregiver of the Month – Joanne S.
Joanne joined our team in April of 2021 and having worked in the caregiving field for a few years, she was a good addition from the start! Having a parent go through hospice and having a deep respect for seniors and their contribution to society are at the heart of what led Joanne down this professional path. When asked what she loves about caregiving, she said she loves working with people, listening to different stories (most significantly were the stories she heard from a centenarian), and helping seniors maintain their independence. Joanne believes her success as a caregiver is based on the foundation of treating a senior the way she would want to be treated, with respect and space, and to always be mindful that they are adults who have lived amazing, accomplished lives with much wisdom and experience to share and pass on to those around them who are willing to listen. Thank you Joanne for being so compassionate and having the professionalism and dedication that make you a valuable and successful member of our team!
