I have been very happy with Home Instead Senior Care and our caregiver Diana. I have tried a couple of other care companies in the Southbay and this one is by far the best. I feel like I have a partner in managing the care for my mom which is so valuable when trying to find help for my mom. All the employees really care and do all they can to be a shining light at this time of a senior's life. Diana is a true friend to my mom, someone I trust and know when Diana is with my mom, I can relax and get a break.
I want to give a shout out to Employee Clarence G. This stellar young man came into our home once a week for several hours to take care of my 83 year old husband who has dementia and can not be left alone. Not many caregivers have the experience or inclination to care for someone with dementia, it requires a particular skill set. With his kind, sunny smile, communication skills and his gentle ways, Clarence made a real connection with my husband. He's a self starter... washing dishes while I'm out, making sure sandwiches get made etc. I couldn't have been happier with his service. Recently my spouse was put into Memory Care and I no longer need his services but I highly recommend Clarence. My only complaint is that he is very popular with few available openings and so I couldn't book him as much as I would have liked! Tell him Thanks Again from us.
During these times which can be a bit overwhelming, Nikki my grandmother's other caregiver have helped me tremendously. Nikki is attentive, professional, and understanding making it stress free when leaving my grandmother in her hands. Thank you Home Instead

Home Instead has been a life saver for our family. In a very short period of time, our family was faced with needing help caring for my mom. I did research and decided to contact Home Instead. Jessica called me back and we spoke on the phone. She was very informative and compassionate over our phone meeting so I setup a meeting with my mom and dad. After our
in-person meeting we set up a schedule for a caregiver to come into our home.
Fast forward about 7 months, we are extremely satisfied with both CAREgivers, Katina and Mary. They are both very skilled in taking care of my mom. Very professional and most of all they treat my mom with loving kindness and respect. I am confident when I leave she is being cared for as if she is their mother. Home Instead has been consistently professional and friendly, with great caregivers who are well trained and who care about their clients. Home Instead has helped us care for our 82-year-old mother for three years now, as her Alzheimers has progressed. All along, Home Instead has adapted as her care needs have changed, and have communicated with us to make sure she is receiving appropriate care.

I'll save you some trouble researching because I researched dozens of companies before selecting Home Instead Senior Care for a short-term senior caregiver over a few days! They made it easy, and affordable and the caregiver was the best.
Here is what prompted me to choose them. They were easy to work with and listened to my concerns but I did not have to spend a lot of time on the phone to get a perfect person for my 90-year-old grandmother!

-Eeasy peasy paperwork. No long interviews but they get all of the relevant info to make sure that they match your loved one with a great caregiver.

The team at HomeInstead was fantastic, both professional, direct, clear on duties, cost, and availability; the boots on the ground staff were happy, fun, and ready to assist in any way possible and they did just that with my folks. Our family was glad it was a pay-as-you need service contract with no restrictions or funny business. The folks really like the care professional and doers of good deeds and a big shout out to Ilona, she is a champion of kindness and direction. We will call on this team again when the need arises. Our family worked with Home Instead for over 4 years, starting when our mother began to develop Alzheimers, all the way through the end of her life. I have to say, Home Instead was fantastic to work with at every step of the way.
We had a number of caregivers over the years, and they were consistently helpful, professional, and caring. Our mother required lots of different care, starting with simple short visits, light cooking, and driving to errands, and progressed all the way to intense 24/7 care where she needed to be fed and bathed. And in all phases, the caregivers were all well-trained, they knew what to do, and they went out of their way to solve any issues with our mother. They really took their work seriously, and proactively looked for ways to help make our mother more comfortable.
The Home Instead front office was also always great. They communicated with us every time there was an issue or problem to deal with, they were really responsive to our questions and requests, they had suggestions whenever we had problems, and were just kind to talk to. It was a long hard road for our mom the last few years because of her disease, but Home Instead Torrance helped make her happy - I always felt like our mom was in good hands.
We LOVED our caregiver and the office staff were sweet and understanding. We have used a few companies, but Home Instead trumps them all.

Anyone who is looking for excellent care for their loved one and/or family member should not hesitate to use Home Instead Senior Care of Torrance California! My Auntie was a patient for about a year recently and was expertly looked after. The detail to personal care and attention was so appreciated. The caregivers and the office staff from the Torrance office treated my Auntie with respect and care. It was obvious to us, that they were truly devoted to their jobs! Ilona and Arlene are wonderful and we would not hesitate to contact them again if the need arises. You would be hard pressed to find another facility that has a staff who truly cares about their patients.
It has been a pleasure to have dealt with Home Instead over the past 5 years. Home Instead arranged for Lilly to come rwice a week. Lilly was professional, RELIABLE and courteous. Over the years Lilly did become a true friend of the family. As my mother's Alzheimer's progressed I added several other caregivers. Each one of these fine ladies also exemplified the quality that Home Instead is dedicated to. I'd like to add that I do own my own growing business and in every instance I was provided with outstanding co-operation with Arlene and Ilona who more than once accommodated last minute schedule changes and arranged additional care for Mom. Mom has moved to a full time assisted living facility and it feels as if I've lost part of an incredible support system now that I no longer require Home Instead's assistance. Needless to say, I highly recommend their services.
I am so impressed with the professional and loving staff of this company. We had the LOVELIEST woman, Bea, come to the house for light cleaning and she was all heart and soul and it was a true joy to be around her. My mother is quite difficult and she went above and beyond what even I personally would have as a daughter and I am pretty nice! And I love my mother! On top of that, when my mother had complaints that stemmed simply from her own confusion, she was taken very seriously and real unhurried time was spent taking care of her. The integrity I experienced was deeply appreciated and I can only credit the amazing management. Please give this company the opportunity to help you. I have been so very pleased with the personnel Home Instead has provided. My worker is prompt and personable. She gets the absolute necessities done first then puts attention to smaller duties with ease. Thank you Home Instead, I feel at ease and welcome my worker each week.
Our family has employed Home Instead since October of 2012, when Mom's Alzheimer called for a daily caregiver. We found the staff at Home Instead to be understanding, helpful, and accommodating with Mom's needs. The communication with family is prompt. Matching the caregiver to Mom's personality was one of the many factors that the staff worked on diligently. The caregivers are kind, helpful and patient with the behaviors a person with Alzheimer develops. I would highly recommend Home Instead as a resource for in home care.
