Wanted to share about the caregiving services I received from Home Instead. First, Brenda was my initial contact when I called to learn about the services offered and to have someone come to tell me more about Home Instead and to evaluate my needs while I was still hospitalized. She was warm, friendly and professional. An appointment was made with Ivy, who promptly came out to the hospital to discuss my caregiving needs, number of hours of care needed, cost, billing, and how Home Instead would take care of the necessary paperwork which needed to be submitted to my Long Term Care insurer for reimbursement during my care. Ivy returned a couple days later to observe how the physical therapist worked with me in order to assess to what degree the Home Instead caregivers assigned to provide care services to me could assist me. I was told that I would be matched with caregivers who were familiar with and experienced in providing the type of care I needed. On the first day of service, Ivy came with the morning caregiver to introduce her to me, and she told me about the afternoon/evening caregiver who would care for me. To build trust and confidence, I was provided with two primary caregivers and two back up caregivers who came when the primary caregiver was unable to. I always received notice from Brenda or Ivy when my primary caregiver was unavailable and one of the two assigned backups would replace her. The continuity of compassionate care by the same caregivers helped to foster familiarity, trust, and reliance between me and my care providers. I really appreciate the competent, compassionate, and dedicated care I received from Aida, Gail, Gloria, and Betty. Thank you, Home Instead, for the comprehensive care you provided me. I definitely know where to turn whenever I might need care in the future. I would highly recommend Home Instead to any of my family or friends who may need care, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of good, competent, compassionate, reliable, and professional care services.

We have used Home Instead to care for our elderly parents for over a year. Their Caretakers are excellent and a cot above others we’ve experienced. The support staff is very responsive and helpful.

Home Instead has been nothing but a lifesaver this whole last year since several of my family members have been in and out of the hospital. Their caregivers are well trained and experienced and compassionate. I don’t know what I would do without them.

Wanting to give caregiver Maria a glowing review. She has provided me with excellent support during my recovery from hip replacement surgery. She is pleasant, thoughtful, and responsive. She is a problem solver and self-starter with a very strong work ethic. At the start of her shift we would review the tasks I was requesting and she’d start them right away and keep going until they were done. Then she’d ask for more and/or make suggestions about useful things for her to do. No need to follow up with her to make sure work was getting done because it always was. I don’t love not being able to do things for myself, but she encouraged me to let go of that and really focus on rest and recovery. I appreciate her assistance and recommend her most highly!

My wife and I have been working with Home Instead for about 3 months. We temporarily needed round the clock caregivers and this agency came through for us by providing good caregivers on short term notice. The communication with a care coordinator on scheduling issues and handling occasional last minute emergencies was excellent. Replacements were found quickly when needed. Overall, we felt supported and cared for in a professional way under stressful circumstances.

I reached out to Home Instead to help with some simple day to day help for my parents. They were very responsive, and Kirely was very helpful in getting everything set up, and my parents were very pleased with the in-home help Deb provided. When my parents left town for an extended period Kirely also helped get us set up in their new location so the transition was seamless.
