Meet Our Team
Geoffrey Moore 2023

Geoffrey Moore, Owner

Geoffrey opened the Home Instead franchise that serves the western half of Cuyahoga County in December of 1998. From the very beginning it was apparent that Home Instead's service was destined to become a much-valued option for seniors. Back then, having a local, professional, and caring provider that enabled seniors to remain in their own homes was unique. Of course, the desire of seniors to remain in their own homes and be independent has not diminished over the last two decades. More than ever, seniors and their families appreciate the attention to detail, individualized Care Plans, superb matching of clients and Care Professionals, and the responsive office staff they've come to rely on through Home Instead.

Prior to opening the Home Instead offices, Geoffrey worked as a Special Administrative Assistant at Kendal at Oberlin, a Continuing Care Retirement Community. He holds an MBA (Specializing in Healthcare Administration) from Cleveland State University. He also earned a Certificate in Gerontological Studies while finishing the MBA program. He is a graduate of Capital University.

Shannon 2023

Shannon, Service Coordinator

Shannon joined Home Instead in 2006 after being a stay at home mother to her daughter. She developed a passion for helping seniors stay in their homes after witnessing the care her own family provided for her grandmother, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease when she was just 60 years old. Shannon and her family enhanced the quality of life of Grandmother Glennie Bell for 13 years while she lived happily in her home with her husband Edward. This experience gave Shannon firsthand knowledge of the challenges families face when caring for a loved one. It is her hope that every family discovers that home care is often the best option for seniors. As our Service  Coordinator, she matches the needs of our clients with the personalities and skills/experience of our Care Professionals. She is eager to share her personal and professional experience with Care Pros who have an interest in enhancing the lives of our senior clients by helping them remain in their own homes.

Lyn, Talent Acquisition Coordinator

Lyn's background in recruiting in the service sector has been a welcome addition to our team. In the past, she recruited for an employment agency and also for Cleveland Rapid Transit (RTA). She meets with many prospective Care Pros and finds the ones who meet our requirements. Of course, our #1 requirement we look for is heart. If applicants don't have heart, she keeps looking! Lyn also assists with training our new hires and nurtures them along on their caregiving journey. Outside of work, Lyn enjoys bodybuilding, marathons, and...sushi. She is a graduate of Ursuline College with a degree in Business Administration.

Joan 2023

Joan, Inquiry Specialist

Joan, our Inquiry Specialist, brought her 20 years of experience creating cultures of superior customer care and responsive service for business and industry to her role at Home Instead.

In her former role here, as a Client Care Coordinator, Joan created individualized Care Plans for Home Instead clients and their families. Sensitivity to the challenges of aging, respect for person, and the desire to help them achieve the highest quality of life while remaining safely and comfortably at home was the foundation of every Care Plan she developed and monitored.

Joan parlayed her previous Client Care Coordinator experience into helping people making the initial step of learning about home care and how Home Instead can help them. By now, she's versed on nearly any situation or problem that impedes making a senior's life better. Contact her. She'll help you.

Anne 2023

Anne, Administrative Assistant, Quality Assurance

Anne joined Home Instead in March of 2016. She works closely with our Client Care Coordinators to ensure that each client's Care Plan is understood and adhered to by our team. She is in regular communication with our clients, family members and our Care Pros throughout the day. Anne enjoys learning about the unique needs of each client and then discussing the details with the Care Pros with the goal of keeping our seniors safely in their homes. In addition, Anne works with clients and insurance providers to ensure the best outcomes when clients’ long-term care insurance policies are involved.

Darlene 2023

Darlene, Quality Assurance

Darlene started her career at Home Instead as a Care Pro. However, having been a Licensed Practical Nurse for 15 years prior joining our team, we decided to use her skills and talent to lead our Quality Assurance program. Her focus is meeting with our clients to make sure they are happy with all aspects of our service. She also trains our Care Pros, thereby ensuring they are equipped to provide kind, conscientious care to our clients. Darlene uses her skills as a nurse to re-assess the status of our clients and modify their Care Plans when necessary.

Betty 2023

Betty, On-Call Supervisor

Betty joined the Home Instead staff in 2018 because she strongly identified with our motto - “to us, it’s personal.” Betty brought her 40+ years of experience in the healthcare field, which included Hospice and Home Health Care. She also has extensive experience as an after-hours service representative. Whether you call Home Instead during the evening hours or the middle of the night, Betty’s will be the friendly voice you hear. She’s always willing to help because, to her, it’s personal.
