There’s one thing everyone should know about Home Instead® Caregiver of the Month Tiffany Walker: The humble senior-care specialist loves being a part of the Caregiver team for her Winchester franchise. Serving as a Caregiver is more than just a job for Tiffany.

Tiffany works for owner Keith Clay’s award-winning Home Instead office that serves the Northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, including Winchester, Boyce, Maurertown, Millwood, Mount Jackson, New Market, Linden, Middletown, Quicksburg, Star Tannery, Stephens City, Stephenson, Strasburg, Toms Brook, White Post, Woodstock, BasyeBerryville, Clear Brook, Cross JunctionEdinburgFront RoyalBentonvilleBluemontFort Valley, Gore, Orkney Springs and Paris. The franchise’s General Manager, Allyson Starling, announced Tiffany’s Caregiver honor.

For Tiffany and her co-workers, touching their clients’ lives impacts their souls, whether they are providing physical help such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders or personal care or if they are offering emotional support in a companionship role.

In addition to her other Caregiver skills, Tiffany provides safety assurance, transportation and errands. She offers personal assistance with eating, grooming, dressing, bathing, incontinence care, cognitive impairment, hospice support and mobility. By expertly doing so, Tiffany and her fellow Caregivers not only assist their clients, but help their families eliminate worry, reduce stress and re-establish personal freedom.

To build on their knowledge and experience, Tiffany and other Caregivers are offered the opportunity to increase their dementia-care skills by taking part in the Home Instead network’s one-of-a-kind training protocol.

Home Instead’s Person-Centered Care Training for Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias is recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association® for incorporating the evidence-based dementia-care practice recommendations in these topic areas: Alzheimer’s and dementia, person-centered care, assessment and care planning, activities of daily living, and behaviors and communication.

All Home Instead Caregivers are screened, trained and insured. For inquiries about employment, please apply online. For further information about Home Instead services, visit our website.
