Meet Our Team
Posey family

John and Sally Posey, Owners

John is passionate about honoring and caring for the seniors in Raleigh, Cary, Apex, and all of Wake County. He has served as the owner of Home Instead Senior Care in Wake County since 2002 and considers this business a ministry to both their clients and wonderful CAREGivers. As a native of Raleigh, John received his Bachelor of Social Work degree from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he also played baseball. Following college he spent two years doing mission work in Tanzania.

Sally, a UNC trained Physical Therapist, has played an integral role in the growth of the company for many years. She is proud to be part of the solution to the growing need for home care in Wake County as Home Instead seeks to change the face of aging.

​John and Sally are blessed to serve along with their wonderful staff and CAREGivers. They genuinely appreciate the many compassionate CAREGivers they employ who understand the tremendous impact they have on the life of each client. John and Sally's administrative team and CAREGivers share a common purpose of helping improve the quality of life of the seniors in Wake County.​

Betty Jo, Administrative Assistant/Receptionist

​Betty Jo worked for AT&T for 28 years and joined our team in 2014. As Receptionist, she is the kind, cheerful and always helpful voice of Home Instead. BJ assists with a variety of incoming phone calls involving scheduling assistance, customer care and CAREGiver support. She maintains excellent responsiveness to all callers and visitors to the office on a daily basis while maintaining records and assisting with office administration.​

Missy, Administrative Assistant/Receptionist

Missy, Administrative Assistant/Receptionist

Missy has many years of experience in administrative support roles in different capacities including skilled nursing facilities. She understands the many stages of elder care, from companionship to memory care and even 'end of life'. She is dedicated to being part of a team that works to provide compassionate and quality care to the seniors of Wake County.

Rebecca, Care Coordinator

Rebecca, Care Coordinator

Rebecca joined Home Instead Senior Care in late August of 2003. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in communications from Appalachian State. As Home Instead has grown, Rebecca has served in several capacities and now handles client care consultations and assists with CAREGiver education and coaching. With many years' experience in home care, and her involvement with NC Alzheimer's Association, Rebecca brings a wealth of knowledge to our organization. She enjoys educating our clients, their families and our CAREGivers about the stages of aging and dealing with Alzheimer's and Dementia related diseases.​

Susan, Care Coordinator

Susan, Care Coordinator

​Susan joined the Home Instead administrative team with many years of caregiving experience both personally and profesionally. She is passionate about helping seniors find the quality care they need while being an elder care resource in the community. Her motto is "to make a difference in the life of someone every day". Susan responds with the utmost patience and understanding with the goal of helping seniors maintain their independence at home as long as possible.

Joan, Registered Nurse/CAREGiver Trainer

Joan, Registered Nurse/CAREGiver Trainer

Joan finds great purpose in her role as Registered Nurse and CAREGiver Trainer. She meets with our personal care clients to accurately assess their care needs. She also provides personal care training to our CAREGivers and works one on one with them as they learn best practices in caregiving. She focuses on client safety techniques and how to perform personal care with compassion and dignity. She evaluates each CAREGiver and ensures they successfully complete competency testing. She is dedicated to connecting with CAREGivers and clients on a personal level and enjoys being part of a team that lives out "To us it's personal."

Nancy, CAREGiver Trainer, Community Education Representative

Nancy, CAREGiver Trainer, Community Education Representative

Nancy Joined the team in December 2010. Understanding the needs of her own aging family, and as a previous caregiver herself, Nancy understands the need for quality, in-home care. She has a genuine drive to help educate our community about the value of aging at home, and to raise the awareness of Alzheimer's disease and associated dementias. Nancy excels in relationship building and networking while educating and raising awareness of how Home Instead Senior Care helps seniors retain their independence. She often speaks at Senior Communities and through programs like 'Be A Santa To A Senior' which provides financially struggling seniors with gifts for Christmas.​

Venessa, Staffing Manager

Venessa, Staffing Manager

Venessa has been a part of Home Instead Senior Care team since 2009. She has an amazing ability for matching our clients with the right CAREGiver. Understanding how important it is to clients and their families to find the right caregiver, Venessa carefully matches the specific needs of the client with the experience and compassionate personalities of our CAREGivers. She also conducts a portion of our classroom style CAREGiver training program, ensuring our CAREGivers understand the safety and competency standards of Home Instead Senior Care.​

Janine, Staffing Coordinator

​​Janine has been a caregiver since 1998, and came to Home Instead Senior Care in 2010. With years of qualified experience and a demonstrated knowledge and ability for administration, she became our Staffing Assistant in 2014. Janine believes that providing in home care is more than making sure a client's needs are met, it is about making that special connection with the right CAREGiver that lifts their quality of life and gives them hope.

Carol, Hiring Manager

Carol has served in an administrative capacity for over 30 years, and came to Home Instead Senior Care in 2013 after moving to the Raleigh area from Maryland. She feels incredibly blessed to be a part of the Home Instead Senior Care community. Following corporate standards, Carol invests countless hours interviewing CAREGiver applicants to find the most competent and caring individuals in our industry. She works hard to find CAREGivers that want to make a difference in the lives of seniors.

Tasha, Weekend Supervisor

Tasha, Weekend Supervisor

Tasha came to Home Instead in 2005. With well over a decade of service in the eldercare industry, she has cared for the needs of clients, supported and trained CAREGivers, and assumed many administrative roles as the company has grown. With a heart for seniors, Tasha ensures there is a compassionate and knowledgeable voice that will address care inquiries and client/caregiver needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Jennifer, Accounting Supervisor

Jennifer, Accounting Supervisor

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Campbell University and has been our Accounting Supervisor since 2002. She is responsible for payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial statements, financial analysis, and other aspects of the business' financial performance. Jennifer takes the hassle out of filing long term care insurance for our clients by helping to navigate the filing process. She efficiently handles LTC billing to ensure a smooth claims process for our clients.

Laura, Recruitment and Retention

​Laura is the newest member to the Home Instead team. After many years of caretaking for her mother-in-law, she started caregiving with Home Instead in 2016. She has a passion for making seniors feel comfortable as well as experience laughter and joy. She holds a BSW from NC State and an MSW from UNC-Chapel Hill. Her earlier experience was with child protective services and in-home therapy for families. In recent years Laura has found a love for working with seniors and their families. She enjoys sharing her passion with potential caregivers and loves talking up the joys of working with seniors.
