Sudheer's 15 years of experience working in Health Care showed him the importance of caring for seniors at home. That's why he made it his mission to bring quality care to Oakland with Home Instead Senior Care. He's looking forward to having a real impact on seniors' lives by providing you with proper in-home care and support. Sudheer spends his free time volunteering, giving back to the community and being with family.

JD Segura

Business Development Manager

JD Segura is a Respiratory Therapist by trade and has been in the medical field for over 20 years. The opportunity to help provide a quality of life to others has been a huge factor as to why JD chose a career in the medical field. He has worked in the hospital as an RT, ran and operated a respiratory care DME business and sold medical devices to hospitals during his career. For the last few years, he has pivoted into the home care/carepro service business and currently is a Business Development Manager for Home Instead. His passion and joy of working with people and their families has been a motivating factor that has helped him succeed and really love what he does.

Regional Director

Katie Zeljak earned a Bachelors' Degree in Social work from the University of Pikeville. She has over a decade of experience in the social work field and currently holds a license to practice social work in the state of Ohio. Her work experience includes hospice social work, bereavement and supervising clients with developmental disabilities. She has previously been a volunteer for the Alzheimer's Association as a facilitator for support groups. Her favorite part of being on the Home Instead Team is being able to meet new seniors and offer education and empowerment on the next phase of their lives, while supporting her team in providing excellent service to the community. In her spare time, she enjoys the beach, bowling, and traveling with her Husband Ian and dog Madi.

With over 18 years of dedicated experience, Karla Navas has built a career rooted in compassion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to senior care. She has served in a wide range of settings, from private homes to assisted living communities and dementia care units, always ensuring that each individual receives personalized, dignified support. Karla is certified in dementia care and holds a California RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly) license. Her expertise includes navigating complex care needs, advocating for seniors' well-being, and ensuring they thrive--whether at home or in a care facility. Her mission is simple: to make sure every senior she works with feels safe, seen, and genuinely cared for.
