Kris' previous experience in home care proved important in his current role as bookkeeper and on-call coordinator. He held similar roles for a home-care agency in New Jersey and also worked at a pediatrics office in that state. Kris earned a degree in business administration from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines. When he's not working, Kris enjoys playing billiards and Xbox 360 games along with watching movies. Kris also cherishes seeing his wife and son in his native Philippines.

Laura Joined our team after working 21 years in Special Education at the Redwood City School District.

She enjoys hiking with her husband, dog, and cat. Laura loves spending time with her family and taking car trips and camping with friends and family.

For more than 15 years, James has served as a dedicated medical professional—quietly supporting families behind the scenes with skill and compassion. Now, he brings that same care to Home Instead of Sunnyvale, helping ensure your loved ones stay safe and well at home—the place they cherish most.

In his free time, he is at the Academy of Self Defense, James is known as “Coach James.” Over the past decade, he’s grown from student to instructor, and today he teaches Krav Maga, Muay Thai kickboxing, boxing, strength training, kettlebells, fitness, and even Kids Krav Maga. He does this because he believes knowledge has the power to transform. He brings joy to his work, knowing he’s making a difference—just like his instructors once did for him.

James’s mission is simple but powerful: help people however he can. Whether that means offering private training tailored to your family’s needs or helping your loved ones maintain strength, confidence, and well-being—he’s here for you, with the same values Home Instead holds dear.
