To Us, It’s Personal®

Our founders, Paul and Lori Hogan, launched Home Instead in 1994 to provide care to Paul’s 90-year-old grandmother. Remarkably, after she began receiving personalized, in-home care that allowed her to age safely in the place she loved most – the family home – Grandma Manhart thrived for an additional decade!

That’s why, to us, senior care is personal. We’re passionate about expanding the world’s capacity to care.

At the beginning of the year, it was clear my 92-year-old parents were having challenges living in their home. So I started researching assistance alternatives and found Home Instead. They have been so great for our needs. They are set up to find good quality people to help their clients. They have a good logistic management system to adjust to our changing scheduling needs. Since March, we have had three of their care providers work in our house for about 8 hours each day throughout the week. All three of them, Vishnu, Merisa and Dalan have been excellent. They are there to help my parents with all their non-medical needs including driving them to appointments. My parents were initially very reluctant insisting they were fine on their own. Now they love it. I used to have to call several times a day. Now i only call at night when the care givers are gone. Home Instead is a perfect name for their company. Without them, we would have likely had to move them to an assisted care facility. They are so much happier staying in their home of course 55 years.
