Meet Our Team

Tim and Clare Connelly, Owners

Tim and Clare Connelly, Owners

Your Home Instead Senior Care franchise owners Tim and Clare Connelly possess a heartfelt desire to work with seniors in the community. It's the reason why they were chosen to serve seniors and their families in Sarpy County, NE as well as the Council Bluffs area.

A native Nebraskan, Tim graduated from Creighton University and has dedicated much of his professional career to serving seniors and their families.

Prior to purchasing the office that serves Sarpy County, Nebraska and Southwest Iowa, Tim worked at Home Instead Senior Care’s Global Headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska.

Tim's wife Clare has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Creighton University and a Master of Public Administration from University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Tim and Clare look forward to providing area seniors with options for long-term care and to providing the services needed to help them remain safely in their homes for as long as possible.

Jennifer II

Jennifer Elvenholl - Operations Manager

Since joining Home Instead in September 2010, Jennifer has fulfilled numerous roles in the organization. Jennifer is currently the Operations Manager and oversees all the daily responsibilities of the delivery of Home Instead services. Jennifer enjoys assisting families develop a plan allowing their loved ones to remain independent and making a difference.


Lea Kuper - Geriatric Resource Nurse

Lea joined Home Instead in September 2017, bringing over 35 years of nursing experience to the organization. Originally from Avoca, IA, Lea works primarily with our clients in the Council Bluffs area. Lea’s goal is to “keep seniors’ feet under their own table for as long as possible”. She runs our office in the Council Bluffs and she always has a warm welcome for new members of the team.
Elle II

Elle Hillman - Human Resource Manager

Elle had previous experience working in another Home Instead office and joined us in October of 2020. Elle has over 10 years of human resource experience and currently oversees the hiring and training of new employees.
Rhonda II

Rhonda Barcal - Lead Service Coordinator

As the Lead Service Coordinator, Rhonda is responsible for making sure our client and caregiver scheduling needs are met. She also helps with the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition is made for our new hires. Rhonda joined Home Instead in April of 2016 with years of experience in the service industry and home health.

Renee II

Renee Krueger - Service Coordinator

Renee joined Home Instead as a caregiver in May of 2020 and later that same year joined the office team. As the service coordinator, Renee assures clients and caregivers are matched according to needs and level of care. Renee has a very kind heart and enjoys helping clients and their families.
Mariam II

Mariam Abiyou - Training Specialist

Mariam became a member of the office team as a service coordinator after serving as caregiver in another Home Instead office in California. Mariam joined our Home Instead in October of 2018 and currently is responsible for the training curriculum for the entire caregiving team. As our business becomes more and more dependent on technology, Mariam provides patient direction with the evolving changes.

Amelia II

Amelia Johnson - Operations Coordinator

Amelia has been with Home Instead since September of 2015. Amelia was hired was a caregiver and shortly after joined the office team of Home Instead. Amelia’s role of Operations Coordinator includes many different responsibilities. Primarily, Amelia assists the service coordinator team as well as manages our relationships with the long term care insurance companies our clients utilize.
