Heather

Heather

Scheduling Coordinator

Heather is a Casper native with over 25 years of experience in the medical field, and senior care has always been her passion. She considers herself incredibly fortunate to have been able to spend a great deal of time with her grandparents, great-grandparents, and great aunts and uncles, building meaningful relationships that shaped her love for working with seniors. Many of those memories include lunches, outings, coffee dates, attending doctor's appointments, and quality time spent learning new skills and valuable life lessons from them. Heather's journey began early, at just 13 years old, when she sold Avon, delivering products and hosting parties for the ladies in the community room at Skyline Towers, a 65+ apartment community here in Casper where three of her family members resided. Those experiences taught her the value of connection, trust, and bringing joy to others. Throughout her career, she's been fortunate to work with incredible organizations from Casper to Los Angeles. Heather said that she chose to come to Home Instead because she is deeply committed to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in our community and surrounding areas, helping them live with dignity, comfort, laughter and companionship.

Ty

Ty

HR & Training Coordinator

Ty's passion for senior care began when she became the primary caregiver for her mother in 2014, who lived with Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia. She grew up in Iowa and lived in Colorado for most of her life. She transitioned her professional career as a teacher to come to Home Instead where she instructs our team on the many skills involved in providing great care. In her previous capacity as a teacher, she spent many summers teaching in Angler Education, working with at-risk youth, advocating for Environmental Sciences and conservation support. She made the move to Cheyenne to provide her mom with full-time care. Although she did not have professional caregiving experience at the time, she knew it was the right path forward. She embraced every moment and prioritized finding small adventures that brought joy to her mother, and herself. Her natural patience and empathy were essential throughout this journey. Though her mother passed away in October 2018, the strength and love she shared continue to inspire and led her toward this career. The connections Ty made and the lessons she learned as a caregiver eventually brought her to Home Instead. She said that she knows this is exactly where she is meant to be. Prior to Home Instead, Ty was a STEM Teacher in Cheyenne, doing outreach programs, working as a Rubik's Brand Ambassador, teaching kids how to solve the Rubik's cube. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, hiking, golf, and pickleball!
